I like garlic but I tend to agree with you, garlic don't belong anywhere near a turkey.
Hi Bluesky wave

I tried Garlic on Boneless chicken n has the most amazing flavor n aroma you can't beat lol but didn't attempt Garlic in Turkey stuffing which I would not try, bcoz Turkey has it's own fantastic aroma, myself, I would stick to Garlic in Chicken stuffing, but not turkey stuffing
i love garlic but not in turkey stuffing. i made a white sauce a few days ago for mini clams with lots of basil and fennel. stupid mebarf
Something else that don't belong anywhere near turkey is the bbq. Me and my friend mentioned a few times about trying turkey on the bbq because we never seen it done before, just assuming people being frugal and not buying turkey for bbq's. We thawed out a few legs and put them on the grill. Flipped a bunch of times, put sauce on them, singed the sauce and took them up.

It was such a disappointment, I can't even tell you. Neither one of us could finish our legs (imagine not being able to finish your turkey). I deboned them and gave the meat to my dogs.

Turkey legs have no business being anywhere near a bbq. Bad mix.
Track hi wave

I heard you have to put the whole turkey on the BBQ lmao
White meat may do better than the legs, marinade it first.
Well, maybe the cook was trying to keep vampires away?dunno My Grandma who was full blooded Italian owned an Italian restaurant and prepared the best thanksgiving meals for us! She would even go as far as making the pasta noodles from scratch. grin
I don't like garlic in the stuffing but I definately like garlic flavor on my turkey.

Sorry you did not enjoy your bird. I'm hoping the price drops now so I can cook a small bird for turkey sandwiches with cranberry, cream cheese and sprouts.
My brother's family always do the Christmas turkey in their weber kettle grill to save oven space and it is fantastic, but I can imagine turkey on the BBQ is pretty dry and tough, Track!

They're in the southern hemisphere so it is full summer at Christmas which also suits cooking it in the weber.
The garlic is a traditional way of finding out who at the dinner table is a nosferatu (vampire). Garlic makes vampires nauseous and feeling ill. All meals should be served with garlic to keep the undead away.
