70's Rock...
Year end and there will be lots of music marathons with countdowns of my favorite Rock bands from the 60's and 70's.I'm listening to some David Gilmore and Pink Floyd and realized that not only was it music from the 70's, that many of the Rock musicians I listen to are IN THEIR 70's!
What a huge list of talent...
David Gilmour 72
Ron Wood 71
Tony Iommi 70
Jimmy Page, 74
Andy Summers 75
Mick Ralphs 74
Brian May 71
Jeff Beck 74
Robin Trower 73
Eric Clapton 73
Ritchie Blackmore 73
Pete Townshend 73
Steve Howe 71
Ted Nugent 70
Keith Richards 75
How's that for a twist on 70's Rock!

Ah, yes. IMO, the driving force of Yes, which impotently floundered without Howe. Many of Howe's orchestrations were taken over by keyboards when Mr. Howe wasn't present to perform them. "Mood For A Day," "The Clap," "Starship Trooper," And You And I," well, the list seems endless!
Those of you who have not shared the Yes experience owe it to yourselves to pick up "Fragile," just to see what you've been missing!
Rumor has it David Gilmour is working on an album for 2019 and planning a tour.
He's the only one I would consider seeing.
He performed in Fort Lauderdale nearly 10 years ago. I was fortunate enough to see him then.
Great show, but I'll only watch him again on YouTube...
Chuck Berry made it to 90 and died in 2017
Tommy DeVito (4 seasons) 90
Not Rock, but Burt Bacharach is 90
After the death of Nirvana's front man Kurt Cobain in 1994, drummer Dave Grohl, went on to start the Foo-Fighters.
Although founded in 1983, Red Hot Chili Peppers sold millions of records in the 90's.
Pearl Jam, 1990
Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins and Green Day were also in the mix.
