Pie

Sometimes I include a family size fruit pie in my weekly shopping. It could be cherry or rhubarb, but is more usually apple. I do my shopping at the weekend, and will typically have a piece of the pie mid morning on the following day, with a cup of coffee. I then cut the pie into segments and put it into the freezer. It normally lasts me for the following two weekends. I am single and live alone, so my customs and habits are of little consequence to anyone other than myself, but it has occurred to me that I would find this pie carry on very irritating if practised by someone I had to live with, so I must assume that anyone who had to live with me would also find it trying. In all conscience, were I ever to find myself becoming romantically entangled with someone, I would feel morally bound to declare my pie situation before things became too serious. There are also other matters that I would feel obliged to be up front about. hole

Seriously...?

I too freeze pies,
I can only eat so much in a serving...

The last time I checked:
It makes me very well loved,
because of my eccentricities..

At a guess:
- Same for you...!!!
So you think my behaviour with pies is an endearing characteristic, FAE? hmmm
I also buy pies with my grocery.

They have the small single pies for sale.

I would buy a pumpkin, sweet potato, pecan, apple, and cherry pie.

I put them in the refrigerator and I find myself cutting these small pies in half, only eating half at a time with my tea in the night.

I need to find another evening snack. banana
Most times, I'm attracted to the weird and wonderfull…

So I like quicks in people...!
If you did this pie carry on with me Harbal, I would be off to live at my mothers for a while while my divorce lawyer takes care of thingsprofessor
Sounds like we could be kindred spirits, LaFonda.
Do you think I should promote myself as "weird and wonderful" in my profile, FAE?
So you don't think my pie foibles make me even more lovable, Bn? sad
I´ll get back to you after I´ve googled "foible"nerd
I am tempted, secretagent, I truly am. heart wings
It's an alternative to cherry, rhubarb or apple. Bn. drinking
HE,
I'm afraid that you will only attract people like me,
and that can be very trying for you and others....
That's okay, FAE, I see something in you that many seem to miss. hug
Yes,
When you are well hated,
and get no comments,
on you blogs,
It is bad,
Real Bad...!!!

You're extra great...but you know it already...!
This will probably shock you, FAE, but I'm not popular with everybody, either. uh oh
You guys FAE and Harb put too much importance on being liked.

Being respected is more important to me.

I don't know FAE, (yeah I heard the rumors but I don't listen to rumors), I make my own opinions.

I don't think anybody on CS has a 100% like rating.

Keep on posting guys.....just have fun. bouquet
I have no complaints, secret. drinking
A large Pie,
Can be cut in:
Half
Quarter
Eighth
Sixteenth

You can go lower, but you will just end up with a sniff, while the fumes pass you by...
I end up with 5 or 6 pieces, FAE, my judgement is not precise.
Ok, You cut 8 pieces,
of which you eat 2 / 3 slices first...
and a few more when you feel like the rest,
and so on...!

I can see someone rolling on a downhill, in England...

Nice and Muddy too...!
Oh no, FAE. scold

Any more than 6 and they are too small.
How do you cut a 6 easily,
with equal slices,
when cut...?

You cut Freehand, and the slices are not the same size...!!!
I cut from the middle to the edge, then I go back to the middle. I then position the knife as if to cut at a right angle to the first cut, but then bring it in a few degrees before making the cut. I carry on in this way right round the pie until I am left with one piece that is too big, which I simply cut in half. As you have probably guessed, each segment is an individual and differs to some extent from all its sibling segments. In a way, I suppose each pie is like a family, and like a family, each member eventually comes to its demise. It is sad but there is also joy when I buy a new pie, and a new generation starts the process once again. Life goes on. sad flower
Lol...

You are very funny...

Whatever makes you happy...!

Do you first defrost it before eating, or eat it frozen?
Should be good both ways...
