Do y'all like country music? I like country music.

Did you know the Pointer Sisters were the first black female singers to perform at the Grand Ole Opry in 1975. They also won a Grammy for "Fairytail". In the video Anita Pointer sings the lead in a song written by her and sister Bonnie. I love this video, perhaps some of you will too.
Enjoy. tip hat

I don't like country music. I like doo wop and classic rock and John Prine.
I'm shocked. wow That someone wouldn't like the Pointer Sisters. Open your heart and your mind will follow.
In fairness ooby the Pointer Sisters weren't know for being a country group. I think this song was their biggest commercial success. Written by Bruce Springsteen with Anita once again singing lead. I wish I could have seen them live in their heyday.
Ruth Pointer does an memorable introduction. thumbs up

Ray Charles actually did some country music.
He or Bonnie Raiit are about as close to country music, that I could stomach.
I really enjoy Patsy Cline, Glen Campbell, Kenny Rogers, Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, and a whole bunch more! Love John Denver music, even though it is not country!thumbs up thumbs up

It gets worse. All my ladies used to beat me up, instead of the other way around. And the ulcer and emphysema did away with the cheap whisky, and the saygerettes. Now it's early to bed, alone, after warm milk. Church every Sunday. And 30 year old boots. No life at all.
I enjoy country music.

I enjoy listen to all of those and others.

I call Country music "heart break" music although i have never had my heart broken.

I sing and dance to them and have a good time.
