You Will Know Them by Their Fruits

Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

Anybody here got a sharp axe? drinking

Even the bad trees produce oxygen. The purpose of a tree is not the fruit alone Harbal. We should not take any notice of bad trees or their fruits. So spare the axe Harbal.

Anyway, last thing I need right now is protests for Bad trees matter. I am getting sick of chaos all over. sigh
Fruit trees can actually be a bit of a pain in the a**. They can drop off fruit that gets hit by the lawn mower unless you get out and pick them all up before you mow, which can be time consuming. Fruit that is left lying on the ground will start to rot and smell as well. The rotting fruit is also a magnet for yellow jacket wasps which can sting repeatedly. I used to have a peach tree in my yard, the peaches were okay but it was probably more trouble than it was worth. Never did cut it down though, I just learned to tolerate it and appreciate it for what it was.
I think I should remind you, Soon, that the trees in this blog are a metaphor. Let's not get too literal. scold

smile
But "an axe to grind" is so associated with Harbal/Mr.Wison that one could not imagine it metaphorically. You really should come back with it as your new moniker.thumbs up
Thank you, ash, your comment is appreciated. uh oh
Which do you of your monikers do you feel reveals the real you? Your blogging essence.
( sorry not sure if your profile is revelatory) dunno

Any plurality of "moniker" that you may have observed, ash, is a state of affairs born out of necessity, rather than an attempt at any kind of deception or a sign of multiple personalities. Upon study, I'm sure you would find little difference in the character behind any of them.

This is an unusual situation for me, and I'm not sure of the best way to handle it. Normally when people come on my blogs to have a go at me there is a mutual antipathy and I quite relish the battle of wits. That's not the case with you, I actually like you, despite your attitude towards me. I think for the time being, ash, I will just try to rise above your jibes. snooty
Rise from the Ashes then.laugh how about Phoenix.
That's so true.I really have major apathy or geberal discontent.

But I can always count on Stringman showing up with information while I AM useless fodder.laugh
That's so true.I really have no major apathy or general discontent.
I will share a little truth.
Women rarely debate because we listen to children, teens, coworkers, partners.. all day without any compensation. What argument haven't we heard.
We are wrong all day long it seems.

Unlike men who seem to find any free time or tasking goes naturally in this direction.Like an exercise or good daily constitution.

Just a perspective on things.
So when we discuss things near and dear to us it seems a given we are using our hearts in that moment. It would be meaningful if accepted as such.
We are the glue that holds everything and everyone together.Believe me know how to debate when it's critical.
Here's a sharpening stone.

I will stand back quite a few steps George Washington.
@ Herbalm "We need some loggers to cut down the bloggers."

There is no need to cut down the bloggers. There is a need for others not to attack if someone does not share their same point of view. wave
"Herbalm" smile

With your permission, Amicable, I will save that name for the next time I need a new identity.
No need to stand back, ash, I will not be wielding my chopper. Rant as I may, in reality I know that I am impotent. sigh
rolling on the floor laughing your role then as a fly in the oilment, might I suggest, SpanishHerbalm, a resplendent solution to impotence.
I am well qualified for that role, ash, I have a lifetime's experience of being the fly in the ointment. smile
We all have different ideas about our safety SH.handshake
"Spanish Fly" is not like Spanish Flu ..
But my explanation stops there,
I have only flown.
Both painful, Soon. sad
I think Spanish fly was intended to get horses in the mood not humans. We probably all heard the story (aka urban legend) of the dead girl and the knob on the steering wheel.uh oh
I have neither heard of spanish fly nor the knob on the steering wheel, Soon. I must have led a sheltered life.
