Fauci is the guy who attended several White House meetings where he told America we needed more testing, testing, testing. Three months later, we have the testing and some people are befuddled that more testing reveals additional positive cases of COVID-19.This weekend I talked with a guy who made it sound like testing was the culprit. My response (to him) was testing doesn't create more virus. Why would you think that?
He was of the opinion that we didn't need so much testing as the numbers were significantly going up! Well duh. Now we have the tools/means to get more accurate findings of asymptomatic cases who could spread the virus without knowing it.
I shouldn't have to tell you this as we all hear it from nearly every news source as it comes from the White House.

Just because more cases of the virus are DISCOVERED doesn't mean that more cases exist. If a thousand people have the virus and you do no testing at all, does that mean that no one has the virus?
Now you test those thousand people because you are doing more tests. Suddenly you have a thousand "new" cases. But not one more person was infected than when you did no testing. More IDENTIFIED cases do not necessarily mean more cases. There could actually be LESS cases, and because you do more testing you DISCOVER more cases.
The United States has one of the lowest death rates from the virus among the major countries of the world. That statistic is a much better indicator of how we are doing than the number of people who test positive.
Trump also told Larry Kudlow to say we had an air tight seal protecting us from the Corona virus in February!!!!! Incredible lie!!!!!!!
Conveniently, -ucker Carlson criticizes Fauci for saying a mask wasn't critical. Fauci was covering up for Trump's planning negligence. Fauci was hoping he could help health workers keep from running out of quality masks!
Carlson loves to distort and malign people to serve his conservative masters!
Additional testing is basing its test on a random sample. If it shows additional rates of infection in that group or lower rates of infection it adds or subtracts to the population as a whole.
The idea that additional testing will make us look bad due to additional cases is one of the stupidest statements I have heard in years and years.
Lets test 0 people! Then we won't have any Corona Virus.
You logic is sorely lacking.
Just because more cases of the virus are DISCOVERED doesn't mean that more cases exist.
The POINT of the blog, is that more testing gives us a better awareness of the number
of people infected and who they are. This leads to better isolation and thus, less subsequent infections. The blogger and the commenters are not indicating that
testing has any direct control over the current number of infections. They are, what they are, and it would be beneficial to know the actual level and who to isolate.
