Just one example of being totally unprepared is the loss of our dog. She went to the animal hospital poorly and 6 hours later she was put down with 75% liver cancer. No signs prior to this so totally unprepared.
Was the World prepared for 911 or any other disaster that has affected people's lives.? Yes we can try to keep a level of balance to help us cope with the "unexpected" but until something tragic happens in our lives and "unexpected " who knows just how it will affect us personally.
