Do you think we might have hurt his feelings ?
This past week a friend from the Boston area flew down to meet me. As you may know that area has been hit with a vicious winter cold front. They are experiencing a high of minus 4 F. today.
Well, Ellie decided to come down to Florida and escape for a couple of weeks, as I do all winter. 
She flew in on Wednesday and I have been showing her the local sights & sites. I have also introduced her to some of the locals that I've become pals with.
One of my pals, Al, wanted us to go swimming with him at a local swimming hole. It was a warm day and this sounded sort of good... at least at first.
However, Ellie had some hesitation about this idea. It might be that Ellie is a bit shy.
I'm not sure. 
Nonetheless, we decided to take a rain check on swimming.
Being somewhat new down here, I can sort of go with the flow. I don't like to rock the boat, nor make waves. Regardless, now I'm left wondering, if somehow Al's feelings were hurt, when we didn't join him.
