Old school or Modern approach?

I have discovered that when it comes to dating there are generally two kinds of styles for men & women one is a more modern approach where she may ask him out and even pay for the date then there is the other approach where he, the male is the only one who is expected to ask the women out and pay for the date and the two sexes play out specific "roles."

Which are you personally more comfortable with and why?cool

I would say I'm mostly old schoool, but there is still something atttractive about women making the first move sometimes. That being said I don't think I've ever had a date I didn't pay, except for a couple serious relationships where she "payed" but it was out of our joint account. Chilvery is a dying breed today, all I know is my father would be very upset if I didn't open doors, etc. I guess I was raised old school. Nothing wrong with new ways, just isn't really me.

for me "old school" - I know why I have gone on the date, I have a more idea of what is expective of me - but then I haven't gone out on date for centuries - so what would I know!!!conversing

I find old school comes naturally.
I just want one woman who wants me as much as I want her without a bunch of headaches. If I wanted drama id still be married.
Life is too short and can be sweet if we want it bad enough.id rather be alone like I am now than settle for someone who doesn't understand this.
I don't understand why its so hard to be happy for so many people.

Oh and I'm new to this site. So far I'm thinking I may not stick around long lol.

I want to add, I think I scare women with my approach. See, I have my own business and I deal with mostly women. I am often told I'm very respectful and likeable. My problem is with the single women I've met. Talk about damaged people.

I will find my mate sooner or later we all just have to be patient.good luck to all of you.
