Dreams

Oh my gosh, someone lemme know if u can help me out with this one.... I wake up this morning realizing that I dreamt about my ex (of 5 years) all night... We have been split for 8 months and I haven't seen or spoken with him once... Yet I could see his face, hear his voice, react the way I would if I actually ran into him. It has me completely thrown off because its thr first dream I've had about him since the split! Any comments? Advice? Anyone ever had this happen?

Don't know? Dreams are something to do with our subconscious. Are you still thinking about him in waking hours? I had a dream about an ex ahile back...it was though we were still together. It was kinda weird.

Looking; have u had the sit where u wake and even feel with the hand in bed next to u to see if he might be there.. Kinda like its unreal that he is gone, and u wanna chage it so much?

I think you have some unresolved issues to deal with. Hard to say, though as you don't tell us what the dreams were about. If the dreams become reoccuring, you might seek some professional help.

Oh, that's an easy one. After your FWB blog yesterday, there were people who couldn't understand how you can do that. Deep in your mind that's not the relationship that you really want either. So, your mind went back to the "good" times of your relationship with your ex. wishing you can have a true committed union once again.

My dream was nothing to do with anything happy....it was him showing up with his new girlfriend, who by the way I used to babysit and who gave up her own child to her mother because she is a pill head. They showed up at a party where OUR son and I were and it was hell because for some reason I felt trapped in the situation because in normal situations I would have done everything possible to keep our son from him and the choices he's made. I talked to him, said things that I would've said if I actually ran into him, and settled things. The point being I haven't had a dream about him the whole split till now....think maybe its because my subconcious is allowing me to dream about him because I have let him go? Because I am no longer held down by him?

I had that happen a few years ago, I had a dream about my ex, we hadn't talked for 2 years, then I had dream about her, the next day she called me. We dated for another 2 years before we broke up again. Maybe it's a sign to give him another chance or to call and say hi. Best of luck to you!!

Yes,LookinFurLuv,Ive' been divorced since April and sometimes have recurring dreams of my ex.I don't know the Freudian significance or meaning of them.Ten years plus for me. I guess as hard we try to forget and move on,something deep within the subconscious may still not want move foward.
They have in recent weeks subsided.Iv'e never put much creedence in dreams as an oracle of the future.
Do you want to see your ex again?
