"Catholics gone wild !"
There's a wooden bridge adjacentto Carnegie Lake in Princeton where I often take
photos of herons, eagles, turtles, snakes and other
wildlife. Indeed, there quite a few photographers
that do this.
One of the female photographers has nicknamed us,
'The Bridge club'.
There's also a lot of fishermen, a few fisherwomen and
many bicyclists, joggers and people going on nature walks.
The bridge gets fairly busy at times. I often joke with
the people there as they pass by.
The other day, I was standing on the bridge talking with 3 other
photographers. A blonde gal came jogging across the bridge.
She was wearing tight black spandex pants and a red sleeveless
shirt that had "Catholics Gone Wild" printed in white on the shirt.
So, I asked if any of the photographers (2 men and a woman) noticed what it said on the jogger's shirt ? No one did.
I told them that it said "Catholics Gone Wild" and I joked that
"perhaps they skip one bead on their rosary. Those wild women. Woo hoo !"
About 15 minutes goes by and the blonde is jogging back in the opposite direction across the bridge again. The female photographer says, "I'll give you a dollar, if you say something to that girl about her shirt."
So, as the blonde jogger is passing me, I say, "so, show me just how wild you are ?" The female photographer says "JIM ! " and the guys laugh.
So, I tell the female photographer, "where's my dollar ?"
She hands me a dollar and says, "I can't BELIEVE you said that to her !" But, what the female photographer didn't know, is that the blonde jogger had earbuds in and was listening to music while jogging. She never even heard me, as she wasn't looking at me, when I said it.
So, what DO you think it meant on her shirt, "Catholics Gone Wild" ?
Maybe it's a religious nature club ?

I think maybe she didn't pay much attention to the meaning of what's written on her shirt, sometimes when I buy something that looks nice I don't bother myself reading the words ..
You did not bring up mine and I did not bring up yours.
