Word Battle.

It is interesting how a new friend could end up being your inspiration. But it is even more interesting when you know that it also happen at the other end. I sent my new friend a poem upon our friendship. Here's what I came up with:

You appeared in my dream
Finally
After long endless conversation
It was faceless
At first
But I never doubt your being
Then came words
Voices
Everything that I need
To materialize you

Should everything be materialized?
Feelings
Longing
Would we ever reach "there"?
Should we stay "here"?
What is "here" and "there"?

Surprisingly he sent me a remarkable reply.

I am here, I am there
I am everywhere

I sail across the oceans of void
To touch the souls of one my fancies caught

Into your room where thou doth reside
I mingle with the cool, spring breeze inside

And if thou should feel thou cheeks faintly caressed
know it was through my gentle touch addressed

At times I linger on for a longer while
and gaze upon your beauty so elegantly adorned

And if you should think in your dreams you hear
tender whisperings of love songs in your ear

Know that it was not a dream
but a visit from another realm

Now I see you, in sleep, your smiles
acknowledging your visitor of a few thousand miles

Our souls do touch, dance & entwine
As if we are heady from heaven's wine

The seconds, the minutes, the hours do pass
As we linger snugly in one another loving grasp

But, alas, then, the sun rising in the East
doth abruptly bring an end to our magical feast
the untimely end of mystical dreams
we both return reluctantly, to physical realms

But never fear because I am near
I am here, I am there
I am everywhere

Now I'm ashamed to call my self a writer blushing

Virgo, any kind of feeling is inspirational, in its own way. The red roses poem, definitely did not come out of a joy feeling. And some of the greatest writing come out of suffer, take The Unbearable Lightness of being, for example cheers

El, too many name dropping, my friend, that is not good, against the blogs rule scold But then again you are right about what potential capacity in oneself. This friend of mine confess to not having poetic ability, but look at what he came up with. Isn't he just amazing?
Sara ~ mumbling I'm not liking your friend; he's raised the bar pointing for poor, (faceless) mortals like myself - what are we to do? dunno Go join a monastery? laugh rolling on the floor laughing doh
idea I'll write a blog about it when I get home!grin
Sara

yes he did reply better, but that is what happens, i am sure if he questions you with his talent, your reply will be over the ranks!

it is always when question is asked, the answerable have better chance of coming on top (only and only if he/she is capable enough)..... comfort
