Foiled by Google!

I had for some time thought it would be quite amusing to have a picture quiz, after some thought it seemed famous scenes or images with the famous part removed would suit CS, but the plan fell flat on it's face after trying some only to find Google can still identify them even if I put something else in it's place, picture search is a marvellous tool at times but a pain in the butt at others doh laugh Any ideas as to what might work let me know wave

Here's some I tried .

Ask Hans he will guide you
You are right Z, all identifiable by Google. handshake cheers
Del, maybe if had original pictures that hadn't been on the net it might work but I'm not that widely travelled laugh wine
Maybe you can ask people you know from different parts of the world to send you pics that have never been seen by Google.
Just a thoughtdoh
Yes that's the problem why don't you go and meet all the ladies who write to you maybe you will get some knowledge then
Simmo, I did think of that but it sort of ruins the quiz aspect if members are looking at their own pictures laugh beer
India, meet all the ladies that write to me confused that wouldn't take long laugh rolling on the floor laughing wave
Is that an invitation for more to writelaugh
India, you've never needed an invitation before laugh rolling on the floor laughing laugh
Shsshhh now everyone will know about us

Hi Zhandshake
Should we give a big applause to Google?peace
without google i could easily id them, 1st one Australian outback,2nd one london, 3rd india( taj mahal) 4th at the lourve
i could be wrong, i didnt use google and no i cant helplaugh wave
Happy I don't think third is India because its a road where as in the Tajmahal there is water in the center
Angel, but not as smart as Google laugh wine
francie, yes I think we probably should even though they spoiled this idea laugh wine
Happy, you're on the right lines but not specific enough, the first is Ayers rock, the second is missing Big Ben, spot on with third & the 4th yes is in the Louvre ( Debateably ) but it's the Mona Lisa thumbs up wine
You got me there zdoh

Chocheta , good idea but 2 slight problems, 1 my artistic bent ends with matchstick men, & 2 everyone who couldn't get it would blame my artistry, & I wouldn't blame them laugh rolling on the floor laughing wine
New) Scotland Yard, Victoria Embankment, Westminster, London, UK.
Ayers Rock, Australia | Unbelievable Info
Jared, yes that what google says but it doesn't tell you Big Ben is missing from the picture, have a look at the faces quiz I just posted. beer
mona lisa painting
sorry didnt know it was spot the diff? hehe i only got the places
yes he shows up thumbs up
Jared, yes they all show up that's why the idea won't work & why I switched to faces because Google can only identify one of the faces wave
When we photo shop or edit a jpg with most software we are just adding code, telling the image to not show certain features or to also show fonts, or something else we added. That is why an edited jpg is often larger than the original. Point is all of the original info is usually still there and identifiable to google by the first few lines of code. What you probably need to do is switch it to RAW (not tiff), do your editing, then save it as a new jpg. That may alter things enough to fool google, but I am not sure.
Ken, that might be worth a try, I'll have a go later & see thumbs up beer
I've always liked the picture quizzes where it's part of an everyday object, either taken zoomed in, or at a different angle.

Google shouldn't be able to identify those.....maybe.
NotABlonde, thumbs up yes that's true & you can use original pictures for that wine wave
They can be great fun, and incredibly frustrating.
But the bloggers on CS would never moan about that dunno wow laugh
