The BEAUTIFUL Purple Gallinule

Yes, I know it's been a very long time since I posted photos for you to see.
That is because I spent the whole winter in Florida and had limited internet access while down there.
Also, I was very busy, taking literally 30,000 nature photos.

I'm just beginning to crop them and sort them.

Nonetheless, here is a brand new photoalbum
created to display one of the most colorful and beautiful
indigenous American birds that I've ever seen,
the American Purple Gallinule.

The multicolors is reminiscent of a 'green' heron,
but with much more brilliance, more like a painted bunting.

Perhaps due in part to it's attractive brilliant multicolors,
it seems to prefer to stay much less noticeable,
hidden deep within aquatic foliage.

Occasionally, thankfully, however, one will wander a bit near the edge of the
larger leaves and into the thinner reeds,
enabling a patient paparazzi to capture the beautiful moment.

This new album contains 25 of the photos I snapped this winter of adult Purple Gallinules
and a juvenile. Each was by itself.
While the juvenile, is still more colorful than most birds,
is quite a bit less colorful than the adults.

I hope you enjoy the photos.

Here's the Flickr link to the album;

(there's no way I would be able to post 25 photos on here)

I just posted 4 of these on sale on ebay.
This makes 91 nature photos I currently have for sale there.

Lastly, here is the flickr link to over 500 photos that I have posted there;

Stay well and have a GREAT spring !
