Movie Review - The Bucket List
There has not been a large number of movies, that have come out in recent years, that I truly was anxious to see. This one was definitely an exception. I figured, that with two megastar tremendous actors, how could it possibly be bad ? And in this case, I was right. The idea for the movie was simple, but brilliant and both Nicholson and Freeman were excellent in their roles as very different cancer patients, who reluctantly bond over shared circumstances and decide to go out with style and thrill, instead of a whimper. However, this movie goes much deeper than that. It explores what is truly important in life and it solidifies loyalties, friendships and relationships.
This is a very warm and endearing movie, where two experts in their acting craft played off each other with an achievement of symbiosis, yielding viewer delight. Oddly, my main complaint with the movie, was that it was actually too short. In my opinion it could have used more of the adventure sharing to more completely mold the friendship and create further character development. Nonetheless, I would give it 9 1/2 stars out of 10 and will definitely place it somewhere on my top 100 movies of all time list, likely in the top 20.
I highly recommend that you see it, if you haven't already done so. Feel free to thank, or rag, me later. If you've already seen it, feel free to do it now.

The ending was definitely bittersweet.
