The joys of living alone
Okay going to probably need a bit of help here, listing those joys. However I just ate a garlic and herb flatbread and that is definitely one of them!
Having a long bubble bath and using ALL the hot water.
Going to bed at 02h00 if I want to on the weekend, and getting up when I feel like it.
Didn't feel like getting pretty today. So what?
Breakfast was at 11h00. Garlic bread now. Time for shortbread
Occasionally, total self-indulgent weekend meltdown IS a joy.
What have I forgotten? Or not yet tried?

My cat is on a mission to have a catflap put into every door in the house, so he meows outside the bathroom door and scratches plaintively for the ENTIRE time. I can live with it.
Actually, those can be fun anyway. Like unwrapping a parcel.
No one complaining, arguing, annoying, inconveniencing etc in the inner sanctum of your home.
On the other hand, the single person does not enjoy the wonderful gift of and comfort of loving and being loved by their other half. which makes it worth giving up the benefits of singledom.
I think. LOL.
The last someone was a farmer and workaholic, so I had LOTS of time to myself. No one I was ever with kept me back to do the stuff you describe tbh. I'm currently sitting on the fire in my oldest tracksuit bottoms, but it wouldn't be a problem to wear some new, nice fitting ones.
and those things you miss out on? come with irritations of their own
Not to mention finding a nice cool corner for your feet anywhere in the bed
You make a good point, though, about wearing what you want. Of course we can find comfortable AND presentable. But my favourite overjersey is shapeless, baggy, softer than you can believe, and pale grey, a colour which does nothing for me. Plus there's a splotch on the front which even the drycleaner can't shift. It is sooooo comfortable
I should have thrown it out. Of course I should. Guess what I'm wearing?
And there's no-one about to tease me if I have another piece of shortbread. I'll dance it off tomorrow, okay?
but they are fun ...
Okay, the dogs don't really allow that, but I still don't have to really talk sense to them.
Laser is not for me....I like to leave a letter I from time to time
winter coat....very useful
We're all here to meet someone because we would prefer to be in a happy relationship. All I tried to do was find some things that felt positive so I don't feel sorry for myself.
So thanks for your reply.
We could all say why we don't want to live alone. So many.
But it is good to find positives to it too. Since most of us are living like that, alone.
YES. If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with. Or the life you're with. Okay its late and I'm muddled, but you got it.
What she said.
And ice-cream IS a breakfast, if I think it is.
