Okay going to probably need a bit of help here, listing those joys.

However I just ate a garlic and herb flatbread and that is definitely one of them! devil

You can decide if the toilet seat stags up or down ... '-)
Can't think of any, eh? I'll leave you to it. Coffee and shortbread and watching some Big Bang Theory is the next item in my crowded social diary.

I have never been alone, well not since I have kids, I would love a day when I can get into the bathroom and there is no one banging the door cause they need or want something.
Blue, and I can squeeze the toothpaste in the middle if I want. tongue
Ish, I had forgotten that! The joys of kids who have left home. Arrange sleepovers, or aren't they old enough yet?

My cat is on a mission to have a catflap put into every door in the house, so he meows outside the bathroom door and scratches plaintively for the ENTIRE time. I can live with it. laugh
This time of year especially Molly you want to be in long-johns and nice sensible vests. scold

Actually, those can be fun anyway. Like unwrapping a parcel. devil
Just posted my first ever thread. Ooh. What else have I never done on CS before? gotta go
You are basically just free to do whatever you please (life responsibilities excluded.) laugh

No one complaining, arguing, annoying, inconveniencing etc in the inner sanctum of your home.

On the other hand, the single person does not enjoy the wonderful gift of and comfort of loving and being loved by their other half. teddybear gift bouquet which makes it worth giving up the benefits of singledom.

I think. LOL. laugh cheers hug
Min, that sounds like when we were small, and when mam used to tell us always to wear clean knickers in case we were knocked down by a car, and brought to hospital laugh
Whole bed belongs to me and I can use sea star position for sleeping. laugh

I actually like living with someone. conversing

The last someone was a farmer and workaholic, so I had LOTS of time to myself. No one I was ever with kept me back to do the stuff you describe tbh. I'm currently sitting on the fire in my oldest tracksuit bottoms, but it wouldn't be a problem to wear some new, nice fitting ones. laugh

and those things you miss out on? come with irritations of their own rolling on the floor laughing
What kind of things do you DO, biffy? laugh
Min and Fiona picked a biggie - the whole bed to yourself. Hey, nice to share, but this blog isn't about the joys of together, it reminds us of how many hidden benefits we forget we have, okay? And having the duvet to yourself, no furtive tugging in the middle of the night, or him throwing half over you because he's hot, so you have nightmares about being roasted alive, is a GOOD THING.

Not to mention finding a nice cool corner for your feet anywhere in the bed rolling on the floor laughing
KN scold this is feeling good about being on our own.

You make a good point, though, about wearing what you want. Of course we can find comfortable AND presentable. But my favourite overjersey is shapeless, baggy, softer than you can believe, and pale grey, a colour which does nothing for me. Plus there's a splotch on the front which even the drycleaner can't shift. It is sooooo comfortable rolling on the floor laughing

I should have thrown it out. Of course I should. Guess what I'm wearing?
Calm, all of the above!! rolling on the floor laughing

And there's no-one about to tease me if I have another piece of shortbread. I'll dance it off tomorrow, okay? uh oh
Benefits to living alone,, hmmm, you never have to wait for someone to come out of the bathroom,, you can watch what ever tv channel you want, You never have to feel quilty about eating all the ice cream, there are plenty of benefits, but do they outweigh the benefits of living with someone, confused
lol, I agree, bif. Right now I am eating chedder sour cream potato chips. rolling on the floor laughing and no one can say a thing.

CH, all I can say is laser. wine
Crazy, I was about to say I've been able to grow my winter coat over the last two months and very useful it has been in this colder weather, but that might be TMI. So I won't innocent
Molly I was thinking the same as you!laugh
Well, wearing something comfy and not particularly representative myself, but no question, I's rather wear someone else if he would be around. grin
Regarding the bed I never had the problem of sharing when living in Germany as we had a big double mattress bed with a quilt for each bed. head banger
I like having that hour to myself to unwind after work.

Okay, the dogs don't really allow that, but I still don't have to really talk sense to them.
Kn,

Laser is not for me....I like to leave a letter I from time to timelaugh
Legs,

Ha Dream, that's IT. rolling on the floor laughing
well the benefits of living alone .I lived with someone a long time and never had any of these problems living alone means no one to share with not a cup of tea to give or be given .no one to laught and play with I could go on forever I don't see benefits better with a woman to share with more normal maybe the women that see benefits never had a good man and don't know what it means to have
JJ I'm on my own and trying to find advantages in it, okay?

We're all here to meet someone because we would prefer to be in a happy relationship. All I tried to do was find some things that felt positive so I don't feel sorry for myself.

So thanks for your reply.
Biff, I get what you are trying to do here.

We could all say why we don't want to live alone. So many.

But it is good to find positives to it too. Since most of us are living like that, alone.
Molly name your prize, you just won it.

YES. If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with. Or the life you're with. Okay its late and I'm muddled, but you got it.

What she said.
Eat the same menu for one week or until it disappears. This I can never do if I'm not alone.laugh
