Graduating from CS school

CS really is like a school - all the way from kindergarten to graduation. Okay, an odd one. We have no idea how long we will be here, that first day - a month? Ten years? It takes a while to realize there are no teachers, then even longer to realize we are all teachers. professor

Some do individual tutoring uh oh and some prefer to lecture. roll eyes Some talk bollocks, some talk sense. All of us are teachers and all of us are pupils.

Of course that could be, well, bollocks. JMO.

Crazy and DC are highly recommended laugh
I've always liked school but hate the lecturing. Schoolmates is the best part of going to school.
Us it still $5 for long time...?
I also teach, but in individual tutoring. wink
It has been a massive learning curve for me, for sure, when I joined nearly 2 years ago I thought I knew it all and wow, I so didn't!

Talk about a learning curve. Made a few friends who turned out not to be. Made a few who have turned out to be great. Made a few enemies in all innocence! And okay, one or two deliberately devil

People aren't always what they seem. That's the biggest lesson, for me. Better, sometimes. Worse, sometimes. Interesting, yes, sometimes!
Ish, yes, the schoolmates, and what I also like about CS is you end up talking to all sorts of all ages, way better than school!
Blue, it's a FREE SCHOOL!

Private tutoring, well, you need to arrange your own rates roll eyes
Min, you also lecture on philosophy and lots of us attend those lectures laugh
What about school excrsions, a CS would be fantastic.
Ish, thanks for volunteering for the social committee laugh
And languages too Biff. But there´s a long waiting list for those. We´ll need to take bookings now.

I will provide the food and drink...wine pizza beverage delivery forthe CS classroom...
How do Biff wave

I think CS or maybe should i say blogland is more like a mirror than a school dunno
The best thing about school was it being over. laugh
Yea they offer the Certificate and Diploma courses. With the Certificate course one learns to tolerate the trolls and with the Diploma you actually get to know who has 3 or 4 different profiles. laugh I stick to the certificate. Easier to tolerate. conversing
Hope you have a great weekend dear lady.bouquet
And don´t forget some of the sport activities. applause

I´ve already got some people for...

Hiking
Scuba diving with sharks (you´re booked)
Hang gliding
Water skiing
I'm serious, though. Well, in my own way serious. We learn that people who seem normal and rational can suddenly go ballistic.

Total nutters can suddenly say something so sensible and even profound that you have to read it twice.

There are inept liars who forget their own stories and will answer the same question a completely different way two months later.

We learn, all the time, even the ones who know it all finally learn that we don't know it all. rolling on the floor laughing

There's anatomy (ta, Ian)
International politics - lots of lecturers
International religion - lots of lecturers
Modern history
Philosophy
and - ?
Lou, you, the dinner lady? You're one who usually pulls the teachers up when they are being a little too off the wall laugh
When actually dating on here, I was surprised how many people are NOT safely locked up. uh oh

Also, reading some of the posts here, things could be a LOT worse. laugh

I also "met" some interesting and warm people on here. hug
Itchy, to me you are one of the graduates, more teacher than pupil, popping in to make the new kids feel welcome and show them how to do things around here. Nice to see you hug
All i cared about in school was it was out for the summer. as for here on cs, i have been here for 4 years and don't know if i will ever get certificate.

I do in some subjects, but fail when i put my foot in my mouth.

Is there any diplomas for that rolling on the floor laughing
KN yes I hated school too but made friends who have lasted a lifetime. Misery loves company? rolling on the floor laughing

You DO make good friends at school, along with the ones you're happy to never see again.
Howzit Boet yeah that Diploma course is definitely scary stuff help

You have a lovely weekend too, enjoy the heat. Send some this way. cold
Wen does not always do his homework. scold but has great potential and just needs to get braver about public speaking laugh
@Elegs And just like school in real life there are also cliques on CS. Very interesting to watch. When I see them I avoid them like the plaque.

Couldn't agree with you more. I have seen the same. It's very hard to get to know people online. Think I'll stick to real life!
Can I run the tuck shop please miss...
Music, to me that was part of the fascination, I could never get to know so many people in real life so quickly. CS is like a microscope on the world!
Blue, don't call me miss. I'm a pupil too rolling on the floor laughing

And you'll have to discuss the tuck-shop with Lou. Have you even got time, with all your lecturing commitments?
Z I know you are, I just got a light off you rolling on the floor laughing

I thought hmm, where will I find someone with a lighter ... you're definitely one of the graduates, helping the newbies find their feet cool
@Elegs I haven't talked to you before but I do read your blogs and enjoy them. You're one funny lady!

The school song -

I was thinking to myself, this could be heaven, or this could be hell
There were voices down the corridor, I thought I heard them say
Welcome to the singles website, such a lovely place, such a lovely face
Plenty of room at the singles website, any time of year, any time of year, you can find love here

Some join to remember - some join to forget ...
Music, thank you blushing and thanks for joining in. When's your next lecture? I'll be there!
I can also do language classes as long as they are on the same level?

But first I will need to do an assessment test.
