How odd is reading?
When you think about it, I mean. We write down odd symbols and other people look at those odd symbols and they make sense, create a conversation or a picture. They can move us to tears, make us laugh, make us understand someone else's life, make us angry.
Odd little symbols which reach across time and space and enter other people's minds. Poetry - literature - a scribbled handwritten note through your door - newspaper headlines -
Sometimes we have to read them two or three times to take in the message. Most of the time, though, the message is immediate. The odd symbols have done their job.
To jest, tylko kiedy czytamy cos, ze nie ma zadnego sensu w ogóle ze nawet zdajemy sobie sprawe, to robimy.*
*It's only when we read something that doesn't make any sense at all that we even realize we are reading. To a Pole, that's the first sensible thing I've said.

Maybe it is the fact that you can read it and re-read it, and get a deeper meaning each time.
Of course, verbal interaction is important, very important.
But once the words are out, they are lost in the wind, never to be heard again.
Anyway, I'm gonna make myself a BIG mug of coffee. You want some, Biff?
reasons why I hardly ever post on your blogs.. and given I like you, I'd like to but heck how can I when I don't know what your muttering about half the time
that being said, when it comes to talking nonsense you do say it best
One of my favourite tags is fairly ancient - Hillel the Elder said "if not now, when?"
Julius Caesar had some goodies. This too will pass -
good times, and bad times, this too will pass.
Oh I have to go look one, make sure I get it right. It was just one word, but BRILLIANT.
Joining us for coffee?
I understood you. That's how amazing words are. You wrote something, and I read it, and I understood you. Even if you don't understand me
Peccavi
Which is Latin for "I have sinned" - a pun on Sindh.
Blast. Wish it was true!
What does 'manana' mean in Spanish?
I was told it's " We shall meet one day" Is that true?
Hasta mañana means Until tomorrow or See you tomorrow.
Thanks Molly

Hey, hang on. You're not the boss of me!
I turn away men even in their 50's let alone one that's only 40 years of age...
I didn't really. But did you glimpse him, just for a second, through my words?
So being the case, get up off the floor you silly woman and brushed yourself down.. dust doesn't suit you too well
Biff, you got my interest piqued for a moment there
I can make him real in my dreams
Here's one that is quite amusing.....
"60 or 70 too old nothing to usd
And he's in his 50's!
"Nothing to use"!
If only he knew how wrong he was
You taking a dram in your coffee, or just milk?
I don't need long hair though
Slim to fit is my favourite.
I love the inverted triangle
I love 'em wrinkly with not so taut stomach. In fact, I don't mind them being pot-bellied!
All the female readers are lost in a daydream and all the male readers are searching for their weights and exercise bikes.
Curse you Irish, with your 'inverted triangle'. Good words though for summing up a sudden picture, eh?
Yeah, I like the deadlock look, but I've never dated one.
But Dreams, I've often wondered the same thing...
why much older men?
not only can't you take a compliment, you cut yourself short..
don't you know how wonderful you are?
Need to get some errands done before the kids wake up.

You are literally unable to stop yourself reading words written in a language you understand. That's why newspaper headlines are in such big letters, so your eye is caught. That's often why they're obscure, to make you puzzled enough to want to know more.
