One month to Christmas and the 12 days
Doing this version now before it gets lost in the Christmas rush.I tweaked it from a Facebook version and since for sure some of you will have seen the FB one I wanted to get my version in first
(not that I am in Any Way competitive).
On the 12th day of Christmas CS gave to me
12 ranting bloggers
11 forums forming
10 boring topics
9 squabbles starting
8 whiners whinging
7 men strutting
6 women flirting
Fiiiiiiiiiiive draaaaaaaaaaama queeeeeeeeeeeens
4 friend requests
3 trolls trolling
2 chats on skype
And a scammer who’s in love with me

Sounds about right...
Mind you anyone who saw the original has to agree I tidied up the swearies nicely
Not mean at all...
Surely we all can poke fun at ourselves...
Perhaps a few may not...lol...
Pumpkin pie? I don't eat pumpkin any other way but I do love pumpkin pie, US style!
And a Trump at the top of the tree
What would your five be? I love the fives
(Lou, they're the only ones who might not find it funny )
I envy the Thanksgiving tradition, it seems somehow unspoiled - just putting aside time to count blessings. Not a huge commercial festival the way all the other once-simple traditions seem to be now!
and who will start em.....
well Ms Biff for 2016 seems you are our first lady
I was trying to put names on each as I was reading them
I'll wish you happy November though
Plus, I don't spend all that much time at home over the Christmas hols anyway
Well, by then I am at home - so I started to put up a Christmas tree in Ireland in early December as I'm not around for Christmas here.
Like tru I get to watch other people having theirs and its cheap too, some sandwiches and a coffee not some enormous force fed bird filled with grass and herbs that is called stuffing, and why the hell people insist on brussel sprouts is beyond me, Id rather cut out my own spleen, boil it up and serve on a bed of rice than eat those things.
I dont suffer from credit card anxiety and festive overdrafts as I will rather make a gift than line the pockets of some conglomerate.
My mother asked me to send her tyres for xmas..and told me she had posted a xmas cake and I am to refund the shipping cost as well as the blady tin she bought.
Its great here, not over the top and last year I was at the huge Supermarket on xmas eve and there were 10 cars, 9 probably staff.
If you have friends and family a feast and decorations are OK, but for some a tin of Spaghetti is sufficient, but heated up and put on a plate not cold out of the tin its xmas after all.
Roast a turkey. Or a leg of lamb, or something BIG, and then - oh, but you work from the comfort of your own home, in some ways every day is Christmas for you
Long break this year, I'm already planning how to fill every hour with purpose and accomplishment, the way I should on weekends.
Diarising a CS meetup under the mistletoe with hot chocolate and much giggling at some point, though
Unless I unexpectedly strike CS gold between now and then ...
And I'm about to log out too
I'm looking forward to going home and spending time with my crew, haven't been home since May and that is a long time for me.
We're not big on presents and can't wait to catch up with my close and extended family.
No turkey btw, but there might be Brussel sprouts and worse things dished up. Threw a pizza in the oven one Christmas because I don't like our Christmas food. I'll probably end up cooking a good bit between the days to give my mum a break.
Christmas is to be avoided, if possible.....
I love any celebration, I people watch and in the main, the streets are full of collective happiness vibes.
I always spend Xmas alone and finish off tasty snacks boxing day, then go away either Scotland or the Lakes for what they call Twixmas. singleton time and a bit of walking and a few beers in strange company in the evenings. Love it. This year 3 other ladies invited themselves with me NOW we will see how I cope with unstrange company
Itchy, i like to beat the Christmas rush
KN - I've written asking Santa for a year of good friends, good health, a little travel, lots of writing ideas and someone to do my marketing - fingers crossed! Your Christmas sounds wonderful, you must be looking forward to it immensely
Molly - not thinking of anyone at ALL as I tweaked
Tru - I hope your neighbours won't regret that invitation
Map - I'm sure the home-made cake will be worth the trouble
