“How many September 11ths has the United States caused in other nations since WWII?”

Terrorism is, in its broadest sense, the use of intentionally indiscriminate violence as a means to create terror or fear, in order to achieve a political, religious, or ideological aim. It is classified as fourth-generation warfare and as a violent crime.[citation needed] In modern times, terrorism is considered a major threat to society and therefore illegal under anti-terrorism laws in most jurisdictions.[citation needed][dubious – discuss] It is also considered a war crime under the laws of war when used to target non-combatants, such as civilians, neutral military personnel, or enemy prisoners of war.
Although "terrorism" originally referred to acts committed by a government, currently it usually refers to the killing of innocent people for political purposes in such a way as to create a spectacle ( WIKIPEDIA)

Funny, how many people refer to all Muslims as terrorists...isn't the great US of A and other countries guilty of terrorism when they invade other countries and killed millions and millions of innocents? or they is it simply their way of helping and making the world a better place , by murdering millions of innocents ?

thanks CH for keeping your "boots on the ground." hug
Your heart in the right place sad flower
You seem upset lately CH, anything wrong? sad flower
Ash,

I simply don't see American government and other countries who had a hand in destrying other countries and as innocent and heroic as some bloggers here love to think...

They played evil political game for monetary gain, we are all victims...but millions suffered the most, we are luckier than them sigh
Track,

Anti Muslim blogs seems to irritate me...it's an old thing, going on and on...and we have so many Muslim members and friends here, let's show some respect to themcheers
Crazy

Yes I agree...we have no business invading countries...I do feel for the men and women serving their countries...it is a shame that some governments treat people like mere cannon fodder...

handshake
call them heroes?

Touchy subject for some-for others its good starting point to start questioning everything that we have learned, seen on TV read in the papers or on the internet ...
So far they have blocked me from FB 4 times -now Im keeping my mouth shut laugh
Lou,

They started it all, caused all these mess all over the world now and they still think they're the heroes...point their fingers to ISIS...yeah, right! They are also making lots of monies selling weapons to ISIS and everywhere they can start a warlaugh
I have always shown respect to Muslim's and everyone else. Some of my favorite people here over the years has been Muslim's and would love to talk to more.
CH...be careful.

Don't make yourself a target.

This world is really crazy now.

Only God can sort it out.

And that won't be pretty either.

Do you have any good ideas?

dunno
Lou,

Yes it is us mere folks who should stand side by side and change our government...not to stand with corruption and watch innocents being murdered and millions of people losing everything they have.
CH,

War is a terrible thing regardless who starts or ends it! If we had not had a strong military in WWII, we would not be a free nation today! Vietnam was a political war I didn't agree with but plenty of people died in it!

As a former, patriotic US Marine, I am proud to have served my country! I would not stand up and denounce it for any reason!thumbs up
Track,

Yes, we all different from each other, different belief, different culture, different religion but we are all rational human beings with feelings and capable of respecting others if we want to be respected in return.hug

respect always start with oneself...it's earned, can't buy it nor demand for others to give it to you.

You say "kill them all" they will fight back and will never respect you for that.
Viking,

target? of what? target of crazy people here? I'm expressing my opinions against those who think killing all Muslims is the answer. I'm entitled to that I believelaugh

answers...?

I start by respecting myself and my fellow men and doing a small act of kindness whenever I'm given a chance.

You?
I never killed anyone while in the military or as a civilian! I saw lots of soldiers killed by another country, not USA!

By the way, years ago, I worked for a muslim who was a nice guy and a great boss! We worked well together! thumbs up
Ded,

I don't have FB, thank God!laugh

media and internet are making this world going crazy, we need to log off and have some quiet time for ourselves from time to timesigh
CH...I am not your enemy.

I would be happy to discuss, but you are too angry.
Viking,

I live and eat with Muslims...my son is a Muslim so I guess you can understand what I feel when a blog about wiping them out appears here over and over againlaugh

I can be very sensible....so enlighten mecheers
Viking,

I'm actually here in the office surrounded by about 30 Muslim guys and I'm the only female...simply feeling so safe in their midst. Some of them bring me coffee from time to time, some tea, some asked me if I wanted dinner earlier...had a lovely dinner with them in our little kitchen herelaugh
CH,

I understand what you are saying! If our govt says you have to go fight in a war, you have no choice...you have to or face their consequences!
CH...it is time for all people to sit down and talk.

We need to know what each other needs and wants.

This all must stop.

God did not make religion to excuse and start wars.

Man did...with his greed and corruption.

We all bleed red blood when the fighting is done.

We are more the same than we are different.

We only have one earth, one home, one life.

We must stop wasting what we were given.

angel
Jim,

I understand...reason why some chose to loose their jobs and position becuase they prefer to follow what they think and feel is right, what what their corrupt government dictated. I believe these people get into the army, marines, police to protect the innocents and people who can't protect themselves...not to kill those they're supposed to protect and help.

I love watching " A Few Good Men"...great movie.
NOT what their corrupt government dictated...
Crazy

If others have no experiences with Muslims...it is hard for some to see that they are kind and caring people...not the crazies as seen on TV news...

Thanks for your blogs because you do live amongst Muslims including your son...this gives people an opportunity to learn from you...

Cheers and thanks...

wine
I NEVER said kill all Muslims.....or
kill all anything else.
CH

I understand, when it's your son, then it's personal. Why can't love for humanity be our focus?
Viking,

NO, NOT YOUcheers

I was talking about my Manang, LJlaugh whom I'm very fond oflaugh
Lou,

Too much reading can be self destructive sometimes...specially for professors who thinks they have read it alllaugh
Mamang,

Do you have any idea how ignorant you sound? I wasn't in Vietnam when it happened . neither were you and most people here but we can all read and watch documentary what happened there and the misery that USA government brought down to the children and innocents there...for decades!

I was in Irag, was in the DFAC having breakfats with Capt Jackson and his men when we heard the new that they found Sadam. Were you there? Have you seen what happened there? I saw what happened there, I lived and worked with US soldiers who were not happy being there...they all acknowledged they were there for the wrong reason and can hardly wait for their R&R to see their loved ones...and I tell you, not all of them were lucky to see their family again! Not only the Iraqis were the victims of your Bush lies and corruptions, also your own citizens! Does that make sense to you ?
Ading, I know how tired you are, as I am, too, and for the rest if the world to have these chaos, conflict causing upheaval to humanities. If only we can all stop and don't repeat mistakes of monumental impact against all of ys.

Let me ask you this. What would you recommend at the current time. Where do we go from here and how.

Thank you ading.
Ading none of us on here were in it. Very few if there's any. But since we talk about it, it's important to know why it happened and how it started. I repeat, the US, as you claim didn't cause any of these wars. None.
Ch,

A Few Good Men got great reviews! I really liked the movie also!thumbs up
Who is Manang?
Viking

She means Lind...

Crazy

Yes...posting positive messages instead of writing divisive blogs a good start...wine

Manang,

FYI...there are countless of videos and documentaries about Iraq war I can post here, but let's go for this one...a bit long but that would make you see Iraq War differently...

and by the way I many T-Shirts of OIF ( operationa Iraqi Freedom) and " Who's Your Baghdady"...things that remind me of what happened in Iraq.
Yes. and no.
For one my information sources are biased and incorrect. the media is not accurate, and there are tricks being used.

It is like watching any movie (1h30) and deciding if the villain was really a villain and the hero really saved the world.
As citizens of any country it really seems we let foreign policy in the hands of politicians, while we really hate what they mess up with domestic policy.

I don't understand that the top wealthy people in the world are Americans and they don't stop any war.
I'm also shocked how little citizens participating in a war know in general.
After 5 years of war in Syria i should be able to draw that map, but i can hardly point the country out on the map.

In this situation. the war in Iraq is not a people's war of the us citizens. it is done with borrowed money, decided outside of any parliament, without any control.
In the election there wasn't even a person electable against any war.
We are in a world where planes suddenly disappear or get blown out of the sky without answers, i don't get this in this day and age.

And yes, the US does terrorism in all other countries such as Somalia, Pakistan and Ethiopia where they do drone strikes on other countries territory.
War is not even a topic in the news help
Viking,

Manang means big sister ...referring to LindseyJonescheers
