We're Buried In Snow & Freezing! GLOBAL WARMING!
Errr...I mean 'climate crisis', of course...January 4, '18
Al Gore: "Bitter cold’ is ‘exactly what we should expect from the climate crisis’"
Former Vice President Al Gore has weighed in on the record cold and snow in the U.S. “It’s bitter cold in parts of the US, but climate scientist Dr. Michael Mann explains that’s exactly what we should expect from the climate crisis,” Gore wrote on January 4 on Twitter.
Gore linked to one of his organizations’ articles on the brutal winter weather written by Climategate professor Michael Mann: "The Climate Reality Project: A ‘PERFECT STORM’: EXTREME WINTER WEATHER, BITTER COLD, AND CLIMATE CHANGE"
In the Gore touted article, Mann linked the cold and “lots of snow” to “climate change.”
Gore’s Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth did not warn of record cold and increasing snowfalls as a consequence of man-made global warming. And as recently as 2009, Gore was hyping the lack of snow as evidence for man-made global warming. Source: “Gore Reports Snow and Ice Across the World Vanishing Quickly.”
Other climate activists warned of less cold and snow as well.
Flashback 2000: ‘Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past’ – ‘Children just aren’t going to know what snow is’ – UK Independent
But as the snow piled up, the climate change claims were adjusted and cold and snow was added to the list of things caused by “global warming.” See: Warmists Wheel Out “Record Cold Due To Global Warming” Argument Again
In 2010, Gore claimed “increased heavy snowfalls are completely consistent with… man-made global warming.”
Predictions of less snow and less severe winters were hammered into the public by global warming scientists. But once that predictions failed to come true, the opposite of what they predicted instead became—what they expected.
If “climate change” is causing record cold and snow, then it would stand to reason that Gore is suggesting that if the U.S. had ratified the UN’s Kyoto Protocol treaty on “global warming” back in the 1990’s —
THE WINTER OF 2018 WOILD BE WARMER?
Reality Check: But scientists are not buying the claims of Gore and Mann and others linking the record cold and snow to “global warming.”

Well...here the weather's gone mad!!
Hurricanes on the coast with waves of about 10 metres high..
Tornados...
And lots and lots of snow...one meter in some areas and temperatures of minus 10C..
And now ...return home from holidays ...people have been stuck on motorways for about 17 hours without food and drink and having to sleep in their car with their kids.
They're just not equipped for such snow falls. The worst in years!!
Luckily I'm alright here near the beach. Quiet warm in fact for January
NASA: "Multiple studies published in peer-reviewed scientific journals show that 97 percent or more of actively publishing climate scientists agree: Climate-warming trends over the past century are extremely likely due to human activities. In addition, most of the leading scientific organizations worldwide have issued public statements endorsing this position."
Over 2000 trapped on the Madrid motorway all night last night.
And here...to the extreme ...people on the beach and swimming even!
High waves? No good for surfing as it was blowing a hurricane and there was a storm in northern Spain.
Tiempo loco!! Global warming ? Ummm..
Folks confuse 'weather' with 'climate'.
I get it.
That's the point.
Any and all weather news items are now blamed on 'global warming'/'climate change'/'climate crisis'.
In effect using weather to bolster claims for climate crisis.
I've even heard it suggested that global warming may have been responsible for a bridge collapse.
Yes. Really.
It becomes tedious.
And, as noted in the OP, quite often self-contradictory.
And like the boy who cried wolf, people ignore the whole subject.
It's a pr gaff; they're discrediting their own cause.
BTW - Some claim that compared to earlier times, we're now at near starvation levels of CO2 to support plant photosynthesis.
Search - CO2 Starvation.
Note that the included graph represents 1" c change over 140 years, with variations over the years.
It's been pointed out that what's really remarkable about it is the extreme CONSISTENCY of the planet's temp, given the great number of variables (known & unknown) affecting it.
...we're all gonna be dead in a few years.
...
Never before seen this
At least you can dress against the cold but what to do when it gets that hot scary really
"We do not like what we are seeing. Absolutely...Do...Not...Like."
Note that this is occurring in one of the most remote plces on Earth - the East Siberian Arctic Shelf.
Dr. Shakova does not ccategorically claim this is, or is not, due to human activity.
She does state the situation deserves more study.
As noted in a comment on one of Dr. Shakova's vids, 'It may be that two previously obscure Russian scientists have become the most important persons in human history.'
47 c............to f....
117 f!
That sounds pretty great 'bout now, BC!
And yes.
She really said it was TWENTY KILOMETERS (12 miles) thick!
Twice.
Pleasant dreams, y'all!
You say surfers wouldn't be interested because you have a hurricane...huge waves AND lotsa wind.
You just gotta get the right surfers...
DAYUM!!!
I love that one. I wonder who is fooling whom.

"The articles, in fact, are not written by uninformed 'climate deniers', but by serious scientists who believe that the true nature of scientific inquiry is not to bow to some proposed 'dogma'—especially where significant ideological, political and economic interests are at play—but to see where the facts lead on their own."
