I hope to find a confident man who knows and understands what makes him tick after everything he has been through at this point in his life. One who has learned from it and wants to apply it to a new relationship. One who knows how to communicate and isn’t afraid to be open and honest. A sense of humor, sincerity, loyalty and being a romantic would definitely be a plus.

A valuable lesson for the ladies.

She had been on the dating site for several months now, and had been planning to write a blog which unbeknownst to her would change things forever. There were several topics of interest to her, as she often liked to lounge around on the couch sensuously reading books. Sometimes the books would get covered in squished up strawberries much to the chagrin of the library staff but that's a story for another time.

Architecture in Sweden was a favourite subject of hers and so off she went, all this crap about surfeits and architraves or something. It really was of little interest, but she knew deep down that this was exactly the right bait to get the response she was after.

She couldn't eat or sleep properly, and kept checking the blog anxiously. Around three in the afternoon, it appeared. "I wouldnt worry too much about that, really". She paced up and down the hallway like a cage tiger, in complete disbelief. This was the best thing that had ever happened to her in her entire life, but she had to check it out more thoroughly. So she got her grandmothers spectacles and put them on, but they just made everything big and wobbly and gave her a headache.

In bed later that night, she had a fitfull sleep, worrying about if he had started worrying about something else. So she set her alarm for 5am, to get up early and see. Fortunately, there was a rather boring blog about some aristocracy in some far flung place where they make tyres probably, and to her sheer delight there it was for all to see "Yeah, nah, not really worried". There was a take home message but it seemed to go in one ear and out the other.

The Ongoing Deal With My Family!

And this deal is way better than the alleged "Real Deal" at "Micky D's"! I speak of my family of 2 daughters and one son that have given me 4 delights. Yes, my G-kids!

Over the years I have seen my kids grow up, get their degrees, get married and make wonderful homes for themselves. So when I visit them the joy has multiplied because of the sweet pets and the gorgeous G-kids.

I walk in and they all swarm over me. It's as if I never moved away and I still see them daily. We can't get enough of each other. The kids walk to their little occupying stuff and they keep great conversations going. The little tykes walk all over me and hug me and move on to the next activity their little brains are thinking. The bigger G-kids sit next to me and cuddle under Gramps stinky armpits and we talk .... or maybe we won't talk. Does it matter? They're here and now and I am enjoying it as they are too, I am sure!

The animals are just as loving. Weenie the Dachshund hangs all over my feet. She's getting old now and her back is tormented by Rheumatism. The cat, Tommie, just meanders back and forth. Stepping on the keypad for a caress. And it's so funny! As I type right now he just cuddled up behind me and is snoozing!

What can I want more than their love for me and my love for them. I thank OUR Amighty God for everything HE gives me. And HE has given me alot!

One of my daughters has a mean dog but that's ok. This dog is completely loyal and guards the family well. I cannot say anything against this pet because he loves my family. His masters!! The 2 kids that grew up with him are so thankful for this dogs loyalty. So there, what more can I ask for. My family is safe!

My other daughter has a tiny little Chihuahua. I call her "Chaquita Chahooahooa". Silly me, but I love silly. My daughter at this home and I have a good laugh over all the silly.

I go back home tomorrow and I am already planing another visit and soon!

Happy Day

Well yesterday was my 11th anniversary of living in Mexico. WOW.

And you know what?

I forgot to celebrate.!.!.!

But maybe that's an OK thing, cause I was just too busy doing other stuff. Let me tell you about it......

My really great Mexican friend Jorge came out to the castle with his son Lester (what the heck kind of Mexican name is Lester anyway?) to work on a project for school. Well that's totally cool with me, so out to my wood shop we go.

Well Lester has his plan and his material that they bought in town and Jorge always has 3 ideas to make it better, that NEVER work out as re-planned. And I just can't keep my mouth shut, so I put in my 2 cent's worth along the way.

Upshot of it all;

Lester's the happiest teen you could imagine.

Jorge kept all of his fingers.

I kept my patience.

The project got made with 12 copies for classmates.

We filmed it all.

I wasn't lonely for 4 or 5 hours.

Lester says he's so lucky to have his crazy Canadian engineer/carpenter uncle.

And my poor old long suffering dog is mad at me because we ate dinner at 9 at night. Tough I say, school comes first.

GRANDPARENTS

Do you still have grandparents? Mine have all passed away many years ago. I miss them. They were great for giving advice, learning new things, visiting, having a conversation with and sharing secrets.

It was my grandmother on my father's side of the family who taught me to crochet at an early age. She also allowed me to play her electric organ even though I didn't know how.

My grandfather would take me to his garden just outside the kitchen door in the back yard and we would pick some tomatoes. Then we brought them inside and sprinkled salt on them and ate them just the way nature intended. They also had a mulberry tree in the front yard and those berries were better than the blackberries that you find growing wild or in the stores nowadays.

My grandparents knew how to square dance and would go on the weekends every chance they could. They wore country western outfits and I thought how different they looked dressed in those clothes compared to what they usually wore.

My grandmother was a beautician. She had a beauty shop built on the side of their house just off the bedroom. I loved to visit her while she worked. She would always introduce me to her customers and talk about what I had been doing, my grades, etc. I loved to spin around in those chairs and raise the lift up and down. There was always the smell of chemicals in the air, but I got used to it after awhile.

At Christmas time, I could always count on getting some rose scented lotion or hand cream, some perfume, and socks or other clothes from her. It seemed old-fashioned at the time, but I loved it because she gave it to me.

One of my favorite things to look at was her salt & pepper collection. She had two barrister bookcases with glass in the front, and she kept all of her shakers in those two cabinets in the living room. The salt & pepper shakers were teeny tiny ceramic things usually in the shape of animals or little people.

A fascinating thing about their house was a mural that had been painted on the wall from the bottom of the stairs extending all the way up to the top of the steps. I couldn't tell you what it looked like because it was so long ago and when you're a child, you don't pay attention to those things.

My grandparents lived long enough to celebrate their golden anniversary and a few years past that. They were my best friends and I loved them dearly. Their sage advice was comforting and helpful. The knowledge that they possessed is a treasure truly missed.

Will You Be My Roommate for Life?

Embedded image from another site

Where are you hiding, my darling?
Are you missing me, your other half?
Let's come as one to fill our hearts
To show each other that love is true.

Full of me? I've not yet been through
Waiting for the crew to sail on the ship
Keep exploring until we finish
Inspire next generation with endless stories

My biggest dream, oh you know it's family
With cozy nights with frequent smiles on face
As the home nothing can replace
Will you be my roommate for life? ??

Oldest Egyptian God

"Tis true without error, certain & most true." [A partial (one of the verses) translation of the Emerald Tablet, found in the personal papers of Issac Newton after his death.]

This may or may not relate to ancient Sumerian texts and the DNA of Homo Sapiens.

Probably the oldest Egyptian god was a female named Neith. Mention of her is found in the writings of the Old Kingdom and the Lower Valley before the unification. Neith was a female. She is a god of many things. Hunting, war and the flood. Before Neith there were no others.

She was androgynous and she birthed her son Ra, Apep and Sobek in the time when there were no births and no males. The symbol of her name is two back to back bows with a shield between them and crossed arrows. When the Greeks came and Egypt was Hellenistic, this symbol was also seen as a loom and she was known to be the weaver of all things.

To the Greeks she later became known as Athena. To the Minoans she became the Earth Goddess, Gaia. She is also sometimes perceived and portrayed as a cow goddess with a line of stars across her back, similar to Io, the mistress of Zeus. She was sometimes known as the sky goddess and the originator of life.

As a goddess of War, she was also associated with death and protecting the bodies and souls of the dead. Her image graces the jar that holds the abdominal contents of Tutankhamen. She is also known as the virgin mother goddess. It is not inaccurate to say she held many roles and many things flowed from the tales of her.

In the time of the first war against the enemies of creation Neith rescued Mehet (who later became her regent, but not a mate for she had none) and used the flood to drown the enemies of life. Meith's willingness to kill the enemies of life and her skill with the bow and arrow also earned her the nickname of 'the terrifying one.' <It must be noted that in the set aside Hebrew 'Book of Jubilee' the purpose of the flood was as a weapon to kill off the Watchers, Angels who had transgressed against God's instructions. Further noted the One God was known in Egypt as Atun, but the Ancient Sumerians called the leader of the gods (small g) who had forbidden making their Man creation fertile Anu and a great war ensued when Anu's instructions were not followed.>

Neith was also viewed as the keeper of records and history of the gods. When the Greek Plato wrote in his Critiasof the travels of Solon, Plato reported that in the Temple of Neith in the City of Sais, Egypt were written tablets containing records and secrets which went back at least 9,000 years (back then).

With the coming of the Middle Kingdom of Egypt the temple of Neith fell into disuse and it's actual location is now long forgotten. I know of no archaeological efforts to find that temple and any remnants of the tablets that may lay in or under it's ruins.

Alas poor Neith. I toast thee for you may have indeed been the first Eve and the mother of all of us. wine
