Dating challenges

Trying to find someone real that isn't a scammer is challenging enough as is. Try throwing in TANTRA on top of it. Like I've only met 1 American dude that could do this with me over long distances. I don't mind looking outside of my own country, but long distance dating is absolute shit! I mean, if the other person was serious enough to work towards my moving to the UK, the Caribbean, or New Zealand - that'd be one thing.

Like who's on this site that's truly serious about meeting their oversea's partner? I'd be shocked if he's Tantric and over the age of 40

interesting...clean before bed

I just discovered something about myself. I am a person who usually showers or baths after waking up. However, there have been a few nights now where I did it before going to sleep. I have noticed that I sleep very well with cleaning myself before going to sleep vs. having usually restless nights if I do not.

Has anyone else noticed that about themselves?

As a side note...I hardly ever clean myself, that is why it took me 40+ years to discover this. rolling on the floor laughing

Patriot...

By definition, a patriot is a person who supports and defends his/her country and it's interests, a person who regards themselves as a defender, especially of individual rights, against presumed interference by the federal government.

I've heard that word a few times in the last month.

where there is life , there is movements

This past winter, I used old woolen to make two sweaters during my spare time, after that nothing special to do except looking after Dad's life as usual. Our time of entertainment is listen to the radio programs. Put less time on watching TV for going to bed early each day.grin

Dad have to stay in his bed all day long which make him boring, always confused with his mind of going to school, going to his working place, going to his own home but couldn't speak out of the real names and also messed up the time... sigh All these happened doesn't matter cos he is 96 years old and suffering from disease. But how can I do to pull him out of this bad situation?
Sometimes I just feel as if he was going to pull me down when I had to talk to him in his way again and again...help

But things were not too bad as oneday when I saw an unused woolen ball on the chair which was brought me an idea: I made it in a suitable size for both of our hands, then covered with a food bag to prevent it from loosen. Next, during dad's vivid time, ( late afternoon before dinner) I stood at the end of dad's bed, we palyed with ball tossing, this time it worked pretty well. yay besides, I don't worry if it would hurt my Dad as it is soft enought, I don't worry if it would run away easily as it is not perfect round. You all know picking up a ball always a tough job.laugh

Dad's skill of tossing ball is beyond my estimate. He even uses diversion tactic. I reckon he was a good player when he was young. uh oh Anyhow, instead of the mess things in his mind, the woolen ball brings us more pleasure time and laughing. I believe some movement is good for his body, and for me too.

Best wishes to you all! wine wave

As with Chairman Mao's little red book....

...(Actually had one years ago.), many of us could use a little work on our virtue broadcasting. Especially me and my many conservative qualities. But many on the left are surprised to find out how these often dovetail with their own, at least the ones they PROFESS to have. Do as we say, not as we do. But don't take my words for it. Check out the comparative studies done on the charitable tendencies of liberals, using valid methodologies, as opposed to those on the other end of the political spectrum. Or be invited to the home of some limousine liberals, and unless there's some reason to impress you, the fare is often sparse. Right here, we see these folks whipping around accusations of other's insensitivities to the less fortunate, avering that we ueber right Patriots think only of our own wealth. Of course, these are the same folks who whip about terms like racism, and words ending in phobia. And recall the Clintons' trying to use old undies as tax deductions. But I digress. Our high tax town is mostly run by liberals. many of the volunteer activities for the less fortunate here are often spearheaded by my right wing associates. Public access to the ocean on rights-of-way, 12 step groups in corrections centers, a food pantry/soup kitchen, and so on. At a recent first meeting of a group exploring the creation of a homeless shelter here, there were only a few NIMBY concerns raised. Guess from whom? And those neighborhood property owners abutting the (now deeded, established, signage marked) paths to the bay were mostly limousine libs. Early Prius drivers all. Can't make this stuff up.

Extreme thrill seekers...I often wondered.

I am probably one of the most boring people when it comes to extreme thrill seeking. I don't know if you would get me going to the mouth of an active volcano, or hanging from the side of a cliff without some sort of safety measures.

Coming from that mindset, I wonder if people who are extreme thrill seekers should be locked up for their own safety.

dunno

....as something a bit extra here.

That lady in the commercial who gets here new high-end exercise bike looks scared to try it out for the first time. Hmm...

Happiness is not a warm gun.

I sometimes encounter ex-students.
It seems that I made a good positive impact on them.
They always thank me and tell me how I've inspired them.
Many times what they say truly touches my heart.
Sometimes they went on to further education in the biological sciences
and sometimes they've become teachers, professors, nurses, doctors
or other related health or science fields.

I've also edited a number of biology, genetics and microbiology text books
and have signed copies of those books with notes of thanks stating how
I improved their books, making them much better.

While all very nice, it was due in part to my job at a major university.
I'm sure many of the other professors had similar experiences.

But tonight I received something totally different.
Nine years ago, I was out in nature taking photos of wildlife in the Princeton, NJ area.
A fairly young lovely blonde gal walked up to me and stated that she had been watching me for some time, and that I seemed to be a very happy person.

I smiled and said something like "life is a terrific experience, much better than the alternative, why not be happy ?"
She then asked, if it would be OK to interview me. So, she asked me a bunch of questions
(most I have forgotten at this point) about what especially makes me happy, happier, and happiest.
At the end, she asked for my email address in case she thought of any other questions.
If I remember correctly, she did email me about a month later.
However, I have heard nothing else from her for about 9 years.

Moments ago, I got an email from her. She wrote a book based on her 'art of happiness'
interviews and got it published.
Apparently, my interview is included in that book.

I just emailed her back to congratulate her on her book.

One truly never knows what happiness the new day will bring.
Cherish it, while you can. cheers
