Deep sea researchers in Indian ocean, saw it, and snipped a chunk for positive (DNA) identification, and species naming- at almost 700 meters of dark depth. The genus is known, Apolinia, and these glowing wormoids are related to corals and other multi organism colonial beasties. Stinging cells on board, as in my Homies, the Portuguese non females of war. But I digress.
Others in the genus are much smaller, and rest vertically at depth. These are more spiral in form, and seem to have a species unique feeding stance. As many life forms at these depths, they have photophore cells, which glow. Go figure.
Outer space fascinates, rightly so. But science is ignorant of so much right here on Father Earth, in our (dying?)seas. Sheezamm! Makes the whales seem, well, like four cheeses high.
Indecision?
I dunno either. I just hold the pencil.

....years ago, for a wealthy lady friend, while she traveled, I cared for her two Arabians. So, got to ride them instead of her, with the former being much better. Mostly rode bareback, even though it lead to sweaty jeans, (North Carolina) and always felt much more one with the animals this way. Today, on a TV animal science show, there was this lady showing her research on how expressive these wonderful creatures are. Sure, as with our Bravo, there are many body language communications. But apparently, to those in the know, tons of communicative facial expressions also exist. Who knew? Not me. The only real readable horse talk I recall was the way they always seemed to speed up on their own (or try to do), at the end of a ride, on the last leg to their stalls. Translation into Human-OATS!

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. (WCBS 880) — A rescue dog is back home with her New Jersey owner, weeks after she saved his life.
On Tuesday, Brian Myers was reunited with his German Shepherd named Sadie outside a New Jersey rehabilitation center, where Myers has been staying ever since he suffered a stroke.
The Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge posted video of the reunion on its Facebook page, showing 6-year-old Sadie excitedly jumping into Myers’ lap after he was escorted out of the rehabilitation center by wheelchair.
The Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge posted video of the reunion on its Facebook page, showing 6-year-old Sadie excitedly jumping into Myers’ lap after he was escorted out of the rehabilitation center by wheelchair.
In their post, the refuge notes Myers is “feeling great” and “is looking forward to spending plenty of time with his loyal girl as he continues to rest at home.”
Myers and Sadie first met in September 2020, when he rescued her from the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge.
They quickly developed a close bond and when Myers suffered a stroke at home at the end of January, the 6-year-old pup was the one who was able to drag him across the floor until he was able to reach a cellphone and call for help.
“Sadie was the only reason Brian was able to call for help,” the refuge wrote in a Facebook post after the incident. “This time, Sadie gave Brian a second chance at life.”
On Tuesday, Myers told those who witnessed their reunion that he may have saved Sadie from the shelter, but she was the one who saved him.
You may (or may not) remember Fritz the cat.
But, this is about Max the cat.
Max is the cuddly affectionate cat of a couple in Highland Park, California.
However, apparently there's whole other side of Max.
A couple of nights ago, Max was outside surrounded and attacked by 3 coyotes in his own yard.
It didn't faze Max. He fought them off successfully without much of a problem.
The coyote seemed quite a bit more nervous about the attack than Max did.
Nonetheless, Max's owners will build an outdoor enclosed area to enable Max to
wander his old stomping ground without the possibility of being attacked by coyote again.
However, perhaps it's the coyote, that actually might benefit from Max's enclosure the most .
