Friday Again

And it's great to be alive.

Think of all the casualties and the orphaned kids due to the fuelled proxy war.

Then it's not such a great day at all.

worth readings.....

Just today after waking up, I realized I had nothing scheduled and was thrilled! Alone is not lonely; it’s free!

gravity affects all of us... Everyone ends up alone eventually, nobody is going to lay down and die with you.

Learn to trust and listen to your intuition.

Mastery takes discipline, and discipline is a must
that can be developed.

Optimize for learning, not money – money will follow.

Find a mentor,
but you must be someone that a mentor would want to take under their wing.

Challenge everything you learn (even from your mentors) and come up with your own path.

Learn to embrace criticism and failure, and be grateful for the opportunity to learn and improve as a result of your mistakes.

Develop your social intelligence and the ability to see/understand things from other perspectives.

Don’t judge others – simply observe rather than projecting your own thoughts, emotions, or insecurities.

Learn to speak through your work
Try to see yourself as other see you

A funny epidemic that could end all wars... if only.

Three to five years before my birth, there was an epidemic that happened in Africa that compelled those who had it, to laugh. Certainly, with everyone laughing that much, there'd be no time for fighting. After all, isn't laughter the best medicine?laugh

61 years ago today, the infamous Tanganyika (Tanzanian) “laughter epidemic” broke out in the village of Kashasha, Tanzania. The first sign was at an all-girls school when uncontrollable giggles began to occur at such frequency that the teachers had a hard time continuing the lesson. Psychologists believe that it was an outbreak of mass psychogenic illness, of MPI and it went on in the area for months.

The epidemic spread to Nshamba, a village where several of the girls lived. In April and May, 217 mostly young villagers had laughing attacks. The Kashasha school reopened on May 21 and reclosed at the end of June. In total 14 schools and over 1,000 pupils were affected by fits of hysterical laughter and uncontrollable giggling.

Unfortunately, according to Christian Hempelmann, a doctoral student who was researching the phenomenon in 2003, "...the epidemic was not a happy one for those who suffered uncontrollable fits of laughter, and he claimed that people showed signs of anxiety, respiratory symptoms, fainting, crying, and rashes".

Some scientists remain adamant this was a stress response, and that in the same way a mob mentality arises during a riot, the infectious laughter transmitted other symptoms such as crying. In 1962, Tanganyika had just won its independence, and one of the prevailing theories is that the increased pressure to succeed in school caused a kind of mass nervous breakdown.

I know that laughter is contagious, but who knew that it could produce such negative side effects?dunno Oh, well... I certainly learned something new today.

Good News

It warms my heart to receive and share good news about humanity, especially about new/renewed/repaired relationships between loved ones. Good news is positive news and it’s something that I try to provide on here, because it helps to counteract the constant negativity that seems to pervade the blogs (jmho). There’s so much bad news around us EVERYDAY, that it’s always worth it to share whatever good news we have.

Today, when I read about CW’s repaired relationship with her father, I got a ‘warm & fuzzy’ feeling (remember…I’m a softie), so even though I knew very little about the challenges that CW has had with her dad, I felt really happy about the news. Additionally, the thought of her sister visiting her father to bring about that change seems so divine-like, that my spirit also rejoiced.teddybear heart wings

Have a great Sunday everyone (and share more ‘good news’ when you can).angel2 wine

Advice

It has been now over 10 months since Russia's fearless leader Vladimir Putin launched his so called Special Operation to cleanse the Ukraine of The so called Nazis that in his mind are occupying the Ukraine.
Well it seems that his so called Special Operation is the biggest flop so far of the 2022/2023 time frame.
So that being said
If you were someone that Mr Putin would listen to
What would be your Advice to him about the situation that he cannot possibly win?

Why Do Liberals Hate Trump So Much?

The question in the title needs, I believe, critical examination. Why DOES the Left hate Trump so much?

The answer, as usual, can largely be found by analyzing history.

But first. Do they hate him because the average price of a gallon of gas in his administration was far lower than under Biden? Is it because inflation was low (around 2%) and trending downward? Is it that the USA was energy independent and didn’t need to beg our enemies for oil, deplete our strategic oil reserve or sell it to China? Is it because black and Hispanic unemployment was lower than at any time in history? Is it because Trump forced China into a fairer trade agreement, got a strong trade deal with Japan, and a solid peace in the Middle East?

Are these the reasons (more in a subsequent article) that the Left despises Trump so much?

These reasons may be symptoms, but don’t touch the main issue. If you ask a liberal why they hate DJT so much, they aren’t going to say, “Well, because gas prices and inflation were manageable, minority unemployment was at record low levels, America was energy independent” etc., etc. Those aren’t the answers you are going to receive. More likely, they might mention something about his “mean, hateful tweets” or maybe opposition to their Green God. Mr. Liberal, are you better off now than you were four years ago? “Trump is a Nazi racist!” Are you paying less for gasoline, groceries, and heating oil? “He is an insurrectionist and dictator!” I truly doubt any of them will respond, “I hate Trump because we now have to beg Saudi Arabia and Venezuela for oil.” I’ve just a hunch you’ll get a different reply.

But, we all know the Left’s hatred of Donald Trump is real. It is a visceral, vicious, primeval, vindictive, animal. Unending and never ceasing. To them, he is the worst President the country has ever had. The above accomplishments of Mr. Trump mean absolutely nothing to liberals. Theirs is a total, and blind, unreasoning hatred.

But, crucially, it isn’t just Mr. Trump they hate. He is simply the current target. If Mr. DeSantis, or some other conservative Republican, gets the nomination in 2024, the hatred will simply be transferred, and perhaps worse. They loathed George W. Bush, they especially despised Ronald Reagan, and you are deplorable.

Most “common” Leftists probably can’t tell you why hatred of the Right runs so deeply, and many would probably deny it does. But you and I know better. Most folks don’t understand the historical or ideological reasons why the leadership of the Left is so vindictive toward the Right. There is no one, single, simple explanation, but it starts with the leadership’s arrogance and lust for power, and their inherent belief in their right to have and exercise it. They are elitists, which makes them better than you, and thus, by right, they should rule and you should obey. It isn’t a new feature in human history; the current manifestation spins out of Darwinism and Marxism. But elitism itself isn’t recent.

Trump to Announce 2024 Presidential Run on Nov. 14

Former President Donald Trump is tentatively planning to announce the launch of a 2024 presidential campaign on Nov. 14, possibly kicking off a multiday series of political events, three sources with knowledge of the matter tell Newsmax.

Newsmax’s Mark Halperin reports that the 45th president’s inner circle is blocking off days in their calendars and preparing to travel in anticipation of the official announcement, as they await the midterm election results.

Following what is widely expected to be a night of historic gains for the GOP on Tuesday, Trump apparently plans to ride the post-election excitement to build momentum for his 2024 bid.

According to Halperin’s sources, part of the delay is also related to a personal reason.

Tiffany Trump, the fourth child of the former president, is getting married at her father’s Mar-a-Lago estate on Nov. 12, the sources said, pushing back any potential announcement about running to Nov. 14.

An announcement then would also come just days before the wedding of President Joe Biden’s eldest granddaughter Naomi Biden on Nov. 19 and Biden’s birthday on Nov. 20, according to the sources.

The daughter of Biden’s son Hunter and his first wife Kathleen, Naomi is set to be married at the White House, according to Women’s Health magazine.

In recent weeks, Trump has been endlessly teasing the prospect of running at his rallies, absorbing the applause as he hints that he’s about to make another run.

“In order to make our country successful and safe and glorious, I will very, very, very probably do it again,” he said at his rally in Sioux City, Iowa, according to Axios. “Get ready, that’s all I’m telling you — very soon. Get ready.”

According to Axios, the discussions are ongoing and plans could change, depending on Tuesday’s results, especially if the Senate is still undecided and the Georgia race between Herschel Walker and Raphael Warnock heads for a runoff.

A different kind of President

I got this story from a Facebook friend. I have no idea who originally wrote this.

Harry Truman was a different kind of President. He probably made as many, or more important decisions regarding our nation's history as any of the other 42 Presidents preceding him. However, a measure of his greatness may rest on what he did after he left the White House.

The only asset he had when he died was the house he lived in, which was in Independence Missouri. His wife had inherited the house from her mother and father and other than their years in the White House, they lived their entire lives there.

When he retired from office in 1952 his income was a U.S. Army pension reported to have been $13,507.72 a year. Congress, noting that he was paying for his stamps and personally licking them, granted him an 'allowance' and, later, a retroactive pension of $25,000 per year.

After President Eisenhower was inaugurated, Harry and Bess drove home to Missouri by themselves. There was no Secret Service following them.

When offered corporate positions at large salaries, he declined, stating, "You don't want me. You want the office of the President, and that doesn't belong to me. It belongs to the American people and it's not for sale."

Even later, on May 6, 1971, when Congress was preparing to award him the Medal of Honor on his 87th birthday, he refused to accept it, writing, "I don't consider that I have done anything which should be the reason for any award, Congressional or otherwise."

As president he paid for all of his own travel expenses and food.

Modern politicians have found a new level of success in cashing in on the Presidency, resulting in untold wealth. Today, many in Congress also have found a way to become quite wealthy while enjoying the fruits of their offices. Political offices are now for sale.

Good old Harry Truman was correct when he observed, "My choices in life were either to be a piano player in a whore house or a politician. And to tell the truth, there's hardly any difference!

I say dig him up and clone him!
