DeSantis: Send Biden's Planeloads of Illegal Aliens to Delaware, Martha's Vineyard, Not Florida

(CNSNews.com) - The Biden administration is quietly moving thousands of illegal aliens to various states, including Florida, but Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis intends to return them to sender.

In his "Freedom First" $99.7 billion budget for Fiscal Year 2022-23, DeSantis included $8 million to protect Floridians from the "harms" of illegal immigration, including by transporting illegal immigrants "to other states."

At a news conference last week, DeSantis said, "If you sent [illegal immigrants] to Delaware or Martha’s Vineyard or some of these places, that border would be secure the next day.”

On Monday night, the governor told Fox News's Laura Ingraham that the Biden administration is running "a mass human smuggling operation."

So the border's obviously a disaster, and some people say well, that's a problem for Texas or Arizona. Well, actually, the Biden demonstration puts people on planes and flies them into Florida in the wee hours of the morning.

So they've done over 70 flights in the last six months, dumped people here, and we had -- a few weeks ago, one of those people that Biden dumped ended up committing a murder in northeast Florida. And so these are crimes that would not have happened but for Biden's recklessness.

And so our view is, if they are going to be dumping, you know, we want to be able to facilitate transfer to places like Delaware. And so we have $8 million in my new budget to be able to do that.

But we also look to these carriers that the federal government's contracting with, and we're going to pass legislation that says if you are facilitating Biden's policies, which is effectively a mass human smuggling operation, you are not going to be eligible to do business with the State of Florida or other local governments, and we're going to charge you restitution for each individual that you're bringing, because, yes, there are drugs, there are crimes, but you also have things with health care costs, education, all these services that get taxed because of Biden's reckless policies.

And so we have a responsibility to fight back, and that's what we're doing.

Host Laura Ingraham pointed to a Washington Post op-ed accusing DeSantis of "paving his path to the White House on the backs of vulnerable migrant children."

In response, DeSantis said he wants to use Florida resources to help "American kids, Floridians."

"Let's not be a repository for people coming from all over the world illegally through the southern border and then brought to the State of Florida. So focusing on your citizens first I think is common sense, and we want it to be -- we do not want to facilitate Biden's reckless policies in any way, shape, or form.

"Their policies are wrong, and if the states band together and do things like Florida is proposing to do, it would be more likely that they're going to have to reverse course, but if you're facilitating then they're going to continue to do what they're doing."

Collateral Damage: be careful what you wish for...

The level of hate for one CS member had been building for a while and reached saturation by the end of summer. My thought is "If you don't like someone here, avoid their blogs" but that didn't happen. What did happen was a handful of haters followed him around and picked at his blogs like vultures, forcing him to delete their comments and locking his blogs while he was away.
Several members had wished he was gone and it appears their wishes were granted.
A few days ago in the middle of the night, the axe swung and he was gone... and so were a few other members including one who appeared most vocal in complaints about him.
I call that Collateral Damage or injury inflicted on something other than an intended target.

It doesn't matter who you know or how popular you are here. We are all guests and have some basic rules to follow.

cabin fever

Has anyone noticed how tempers can flare after a while when a bunch of guys/gals are cropped up in a confined space?

I used to manage a group (between 12 and 24) of very active, intelligent guys at work and sometimes we needed to wait for the final go ahead for a specific job, be it a painting or welding job.
After 3 or 4 days in a confined space then finger pointing and insults start. Doesn't matter how close the bond is between these guys.
Situation at that stage becomes volatile and can erupt without warning if discipline is weak.
Then to make matters worse you get the stirrers who get a kick out of chaos.
I mention this because this is exactly what is happening on the blogs. Most of the bloggers are good guys with great stories but unfortunately have been cropped up here for too long.

Any advice or recommendations to solve?

Biden to poison America with Omicron variant of Covid by leaving Southern border open

Much has been made of the news that Joe Biden has shut the door to eight countries over the new 'omicron' COVID variant. AT deputy editor Andrea Widburg has an excellent piece today on that here.

Some of the implications, of course, are vaguely comical. Biden's White House medical advisor, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the so-called "expert" and voice of "science" he touted was last seen recommending against closure of air travel.

Joe, of course, did it anyway, signalling that Fauci's expertise to him is all about what's politically useful, and apparently this wasn't.

After all, country after country was shutting its air travel from countries where that variant is present. According to Axios:

Countries across Europe and Asia are rushing through new travel restrictions in response to a new COVID variant identified by scientists in South Africa.

The big picture: Israel, Japan, the U.K., France, Germany, Italy and Singapore are moving to restrict entry from countries in the south of Africa, AP reports. Many are also adding quarantines for their own citizens upon return from the region.

The U.K. ban targets "South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia and Zimbabwe," per the N.Y. Times.
The European Commission on Friday recommended EU countries "activate the emergency break" on travel from countries in southern Africa and other nations affected by the new variant.
"All air travel to these countries should be suspended ... until we have a clear understanding about the danger posed by this new variant," European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said. "Travelers returning from this region should respect strict quarantine rules."
For Joe, it's all about being part of the 'in' crowd, never mind that his administration seems to be of multiple minds on the matter and that historically, pandemic variants tend to be weaker than whatever came before them.

Fauci's calls to not shut the air traffic got left by the wayside.

Joe, meanwhile, left himself looking like a fool.

When Will America Reach Peak Insanity?

Our American sensibilities are assaulted on a daily basis with claims that are widely accepted to be true and righteous even though they’re demonstrably false and malign. The falsehoods, exaggerations, and prevarications by omission are tearing at the fabric of the great American experiment in liberty. Which is exactly what they are designed to do.

Consider the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, acquitted (justly) last week of the homicide and reckless endangerment charges that should have never been brought against him. Not only was the prosecution malicious (for which the prosecutors should be sued), the web of lies that corrupted the entire case were in service of a nefarious political agenda.

Rittenhouse did not kill two black men and wound another, as some media outlets claimed. The men he shot in self-defense were white. Nor could it be said the men were mere protesters, as so many asserted.

Rittenhouse was also called a white supremacist, even by I’ll-bring-the-country-together candidate Joe Biden, though there’s no evidence that he is. It simply fit the narrative and that was good enough.

These examples are but surface coverage of the untruths politicians, the media and half-wit celebrities spread about Rittenhouse, because they saw the episode, from the self-defense shootings to the trial, as an opportunity to further demonize firearms and to make the streets safe for the “right” kind of protesting, which to the sane and decent among us is known as rioting by the left.

Meanwhile, the global warming lunacy continues to run free. No longer are the green shirts satisfied with replacing gasoline and diesel automobiles with electric cars, they want to get rid of cars altogether.

It might be an easy task, given that Democrats, aided by the media, want to financially break as many Americans as possible by passing asinine legislation such as the Build Back Better bill. If we follow the hard left that is now the center of the Democratic Party, we’ll have no choice but to use public transportation, because we won’t be able to afford cars after the law, if passed, has wrecked the economy.

Or so the left hopes. Either that or the Democrats will push us into crowded buses and subways because they’ve pushed the price of oil to unaffordable heights for most Americans.

Two years of pandemic have contributed as well to the outbreak of madness. The unvaccinated, whether they have natural immunity from a coronavirus infection or have been medically advised to forgo the shot, are treated like modern lepers, as are mask opponents, by politicians, “journalists,” and celebrities – the troika of knavery again – who cannot discipline their urges to control others nor their neurotic need to feel superior. All are to comply with their demand, or else.

We’re just getting started. The country is plagued with unhealthy racial and gender fixations; daily attacks on free speech; crime sprees where prosecution and incarceration are considered lamentable anachronisms; a vicious cancel culture; demands to defund the police; continued attempts to keep the Russia, Russia, Russia lie alive; Soviet-style purges of opinions and information from those the left wants silenced; and riotous Antifa and Black Lives Matter thugs. Readers, please feel free to add whatever comes to mind, because our list is merely a starting point.

It could be that what we’re calling insanity is actually a campaign of ill intent. But a degree of derangement has to be present. Otherwise, the movement would have been overwhelmingly rejected rather than embraced by a large enough portion of the public to give it traction. Unless we reach peak insanity soon, and begin a return to normalcy, the future will be a far harder ride than the ugly moment we live in.
