Why are the majority of fact checking sites left leaning?

This is possible because the right-wing is so busy creating misinformation and blatant lies they would be blown out of the water if the truth came out. So Centre-left publications are the only ones who care enough about the truth to produce and publish true and fact-based sites to show up the lies etc produced by the far right.

The liars of course will use the left-leaning to discredit fact-checking sites, never once acknowledging the facts checked are accurate and condon the lies spread by the hard right-wing sites such as Infowars, newswars, QAnon etc etc.

Today the main fact-checking sites are, in the main, truthful with a slight left bias in editorials, such as AP, Reuters, Politifact, Forbes, Snope.

These sites have proven time and again to point out lies and misinformation from sites such as Breitbart, Newswars, Bitchute, Infowars, The Gateway Pundit etc.

If the bullshitters want to have some credibility, they could quote from centre-right publications, but then the lies and BS would be hard to find.

My Account of my time with Covid

No politics in this blog and none will be tolerated in the comments section. Time for that is another blog possibly at another time.

Last Saturday at 1 AM I was awoken with shortness of breath. after drinking a glass of ice water I called 911. I was choking. They quickly arrived and transported me to the nearest hospital where the first thing they did was swab my nostrils for covid. Soon after it was announced I was 'Covid positive'.

On went the oxygen mask blasting cool oxygen in my face for the next 6 hours. I could really feel just how cool it was when I stuck my finger to scratch my nose or side of face.

Throughout my 6 hours I was given injections and had blood drawn.

After 6 hours masked I was served breakfast.

Throughout the next 6 days every 2 hours round the clock, I received many injections, blood draws, and tests. Yes around the clock. I never got more than 2 hours sleep without being woken for something.

I received over 30 doses from a Combivent Respimat inhaler. It spews a harsh substance called Ipratropium bromide from an albuterol inhaler. It caused me to gag almost every time I used it.

Today I am home after a truly beautiful night of sleep for a change, and I can definitely tell you there is absolutely nothing about Covid-19 that I could find political.

Maxine Waters stirs the BLM swill pot in Brooklyn Center Mn.

Maxine Waters incendiary remarks incites the BLM crowd in Brooklyn Center Minnesota to accept nothing less than a guilty verdict in the Derek Chauvin case.

Fiery California Rep. Maxine Waters joined hundreds of angry protesters who thronged Brooklyn Center, Minnesota early Sunday, all breaking the 11 p.m. curfew together during a seventh night of protests against the police killing of Daunte Wright.

“We’ve got to stay in the streets, and we’ve got to demand justice,” she urged the crowd, according to one tweeted clip.

“We’re looking for a guilty verdict” in Derek Chauvin’s trial for the police killing of George Floyd, where deliberations will begin next week, she said.

“And if we don’t, we cannot go away,” she added. “We’ve got to get more confrontational.”

Asked about the curfew, she said, “I don’t know what curfew means,” according to another tweeted clip.

“A curfew means that ‘I want y’all to stop talking,'” she said, adding, “I don’t agree with it.”

Waters said she wouldn’t stay out at the protest much longer personally — but she urged everyone else to keep at it.

“I came here for one reason, just to be here, to make sure that I let my thoughts be heard among all of those who have spent so much time on the streets. And so I’m hopeful that the protests will continue,” she said.

Protesters began the night chanting and playing music outside the Brooklyn Center Police Department, apparently live video posted to YouTube showed.

“No good cops in a racist system!” “F–K your curfew!” and “No justice, no peace!” they shouted, amid more colorful slogans.

A day earlier, nearly 100 people were arrested after the crowd tried to tear down a fence around the police station.

Remarks about the incitement are between the 6:15 and the 7:20 marks.

Some like it hot, others not.

I like it warm. I'm not a winter loving person. Some people love when it's cold.
I can tolerate it, but I don't seek it outside frequently. I'll go out in it for a purpose
(i.e. shovel snow, take pictures, go to a store, etc...), but I generally don't enjoy freezing temperatures.

Give me weather where I can comfortably wear shorts and a T-shirt and I am very happy.
To me 60 F. to 80 F. (15.6 C. to 26.7 C.) is ideal. I am OK with a bit above or below,
however, once the temperature climbs to 90 F. (32.2 C.), that's hotter than is comfortable to me, especially if it is humid. This is even more bothersome, when I am competing in sports. It doesn't stop me. But, I make sure I have an adequate supply of cool water with me. If it's excessively hot (i.e. above 95 F.) I may even soak down a towel and wear that around my neck and then resupply it with cool water after the initial wetness evaporates.
It helps.

It's 96 F. (36.6 C.) here today and has reached the 90's every day since Sunday.
Every summer here in New Jersey it seems to be getting hotter and wetter. Wherever you are, that might not be true for your location. It's just what I observe locally.
Regardless, perhaps you like it hot. For instance, if you grew up in a desert, the heat may be what you are used to. To each their own. cheers

I’m Leaving! I Quit! I’m Done Here!

I have been with CS for about a year and a half now and I have never seen so many people leaving as of late; almost as if it has become the latest fashion to leave. Luckily most of them are back within hours; at the most a few days.confused

And every time we have such a mass exodus I am a very worried man. At the rate of departure, CS might be forced to invite some banned members back; just to maintain a respectable member count and that won’t do.frustrated

Come on guys and dolls; make up your mind whether you want to be here or not. If you feel that you need an extended break then say so and take your break. If you want to quit CS altogether then say your good byes and go! Don’t make a funeral of it. You are undermining your own credibility by playing yo-yo. If you don’t like the site, don’t poison the others; let them form their own opinion.scold

On the other hand, if you don’t really want to leave and are just pissed off with somebody, just retire quietly, think about it for a day or two and come back when you feel better. You don’t sell your house because some guy, four houses down the road, is irritating you. No matter where you go, you will always get somebody to irritate you and undoubtedly you too will work on somebody’s tits. Stick around; this is a nice a place.thumbs up

The “I’m leaving” theme must have been one of the most popular blog topics during the last month or three and it is getting hollow now. I’m sure we can find something better to blog about.doh

I’m sorry if my blog topic got some people all excited for nothing, but I’m not quite ready to leave. If and when I do, nobody will want me back. I shall burn all bridges behind me to make sure I don’t make a fool of myself.grin
cats meow cats meow

Have a good Wednesday and please don’t quit yet. The day is still young.wave

January 6 Witnesses Given Emmy Awards For Outstanding Performances

WASHINGTON, D.C.—All the witnesses who have testified before the January 6 Committee were given honorary Emmy awards this week for their outstanding performances pretending to cry for dramatic effect.

"Look at the way they are able to cry on command -- so realistic!" said one member of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences upon reviewing the tearful performances. "These folks have a bright career ahead of them. The Hallmark Channel is always looking for new talent, as they have about 6,000 Christmas movies to make before November."

While most praised the awards, others criticized the move, saying that Senator Cory Booker and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are "far more deserving" of the recognition.

Trump derangement syndrome

And yet Trump is no longer president. These people have failed to move on with their little meaningless lives. I believe one blogger stated before the election that they would quit blogging about Trump after he losses. Well, that too hasn't happened. "Trump Derangement Syndrome" is what they're made of. These people are never going to stop having this. rolling on the floor laughing I really shouldn't laugh, because it's actually pretty sad....

Btw, how are these people who have this problem get away with the continued blogs on Trump/politics? Seems like pro Trump blogs are almost always deleted by the site, while the anti Trump blogs by these sad people are left in place. This speaks volumes!thumbs down
