The many troubles in the PRC....

...sure, they will soon lack drinking water, and that nervous one party state, and control by party elites, augers less than ideal for the long term. Hong Kong and Taiwan. Much more to be concerned about, in the general neighborhood as well, as we see in the South China Seas. But the changes from failed attempts at communism, to China's form of free market economies, bring with them troubling demographic shifts as wel. Wealthy, entrepreneurial business women, now in their 40's and 50's, with vanishing chances for marriage and children, and enormous family and cultural pressures for both, to name just one. Slight modifications of the one child policies, might help. But real political freedom ain't too shabby either.

Granges (4 F groups), Catholic churches. Oddfellows/Freemasons, Others?...

...yes, indeed, the times they are a'changing... Very few family farms left, so on the first, thin meeting attendance. Although with the monthly $5 home made AYCE feed bags, with really nice folks---AND, the growing move toward young organic farm families, there is hope, for this great social/educational institution. And RC Churches are now being sold for mansion like homes, businesses, etc. And few want to be celibate priests, much less women. And buying off former victim altar boys ain't cheap. Although, if Holy Father Francis can whip the powerful corrupt faggots in the Vatican into moral and business shape, there is hope. Not so much the last groups. Too many know about how the secrets are out. Can't make it in Business? Standing in front of a Brother Judge? Too many moving traffic violations? Never passed the GED? Or the CDL? The all powerful seeing eye---and secret handshakes have been there for you for ages. Caps and aprons.

From FOX news (and checked with other more reliable news sources too)

Quite a catch for the bride. roll eyes
One can only imagine when his next cheating adventure will happen.
And no, the bride's name is not Melania. grin

I've had it

I spend many enjoyable hours on this site and grew fond of lots of people on here. Only a few of my favorite people are still here. The rest are replaced by Trump infected sick people. The Trump virus was contained for a short while....giving us hope....and then it flared up again. When I saw the virus got to Harbal as well I lost all hope.

Time for me to take a long break or maybe find somewhere else. Even Facebook, that I found extremely boring most of the time, is at this stage a better option. I'll maybe come back again one day..as myself...as I'm too lazy to create a new profile. Untill then.... farewell and thanks for the all the fish.wave

Commissar Bernard....

... is the logical favorite of the victim-oppressor crowd of Dems. The explanation? AOC and her marginally educated ilk form the vanguard of this political mindless set. Bernie's government handout pandering to the typical loser class is unprecedented in US politics. They eat it up, having failed to be competitive on their own in life, so why not put faith in the pied piper of the cradle to grave nanny state instead? So of all the initial two dozen candidates, it's no surprise that these pathetic failures in life gravitate toward Sanders. Not exactly what the founding FATHERS and those intrepid MinuteMEN on Concord Green had in mind. From those who work, to those who won't. Marx, Engels, Trotsky, Lenin, Stalin, and Mao. Can't make this stuff up folks.

Blog Number 542......Positions, Pay and Pensions.

....but as with valid doctorates, and other relevant graduate degrees, as with those of our Ivy Leaguer POTUS Trump, who's counting?..... But I digress.... MORE DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS.... It would seem that thousands of Americans are loosing their jobs and income, thanks to the pander demic. But au contraire, dear lemmings without pensions. Compare the current fate of employees in the dreaded private sector, with those in do little, paper pushing, can't be fired, taxpayer funded, make work positions. The former face a bureaucratic Alpentraum of phone menus, crashed systems and week delays, all at the hands of the latter. But as a government employee, with a defined pension (what's that?), it's one more excuse not to turn up at the jobsite, except that, as with the former, the taxpayer pumped paychecks magically still keep on coming. No need to face the nightmare of trying to apply for government job loss benefits, as for folks with REAL WORK.. Who are these folks? Teachers (not in private or denominational schools), politicians, office staff, municipal "workers", and so on. Almost exclusively of what political persuasion, ---well, just guess? Their labor lobby organizations, with names like the Teachers' Unions, or Federal/Municipal/State Employees' Unions, are among the biggest financial contributors to Democrat political campaigns. Can't make this stuff up, my dear poor latter day proletarians.

Going home.

It was at 5 am precisely that I was jolted out of a beautiful slumber by a large crash. The noise, made louder by the quietness of the night, came from somebody dumping a large amount of glass bottles in a nearby trash container. And the first thought in my sleep groggy mind was “we’re back to normal”.

To many, it seems that Covid19 is over, even as to many others it seems like it was just a bad dream. Facemasks are now in fashion only if you’re in a shop, or queueing at the pharmacy.

Most people, going about their post Covid19 restrictive period business seem to be oblivious to the fact that the corona virus is still at large, even ravaging countries as WHO declare the Americas as the hotspot of the outbreak with Brazil registering its highest death rate in the last days.

Apart from war torn countries like the Yemen, where the UN Refugee Agency has declared that the situation has been pushed beyond breaking point even as they only received 15% of the needed relief funding.

Presumably, every country is rather stretched and so looking after itself first and foremost. We all know the adage “charity begins at home”.

Except that home is not just Balluta in my case. Or Malta for that matter. Covid19 showed us that our home is Earth. When ET stated “ET go home”, about this time 38 years ago, the adorable alien meant leaving Earth to go to his planet.

So as we prepare for ‘normal life’ to return, and the EU opens up its skies and borders in the coming weeks, it is well to remember that our home, Earth, is not yet out of the Covid19 woods, that a jab to fight this virus is still thought to be eighteen months away, and that however our lives are being impacted, there are so many other millions far worse off than us, who need help, not only by remembering them in our prayers, but by remembering to share a little from our good fortune.

As we still need to remain cognisant of the virus, continue to practice social distancing and good hygiene and not letting off relief fireworks yet.

Let us hope Malta continues to register nil new Covid19 cases. As we also hope that the frustration release of many at beaches or bars will not spike again these figures.
And the crashing of glass bottle disposal from said bars ‘returning to normal’ business would ideally also move their noisy crash activity to a more ‘normal’ hour … shall we say 8 am?

JUST IN - FROM Yesterday!!! Center For Disease Control

It has been validated that the CDC - VERY quietly - stated updated figures on the ACTUAL deaths from COVID-19:

Of the 153,504 "reported"Covid-19 Deaths" ONLY 6 PERCENT were ACTUAL deaths from COVID-19 itself!!!!!!!!!

That is 9,210 true deaths from the actual virus NOT some post-mortem figure from someone who died of something totally unrelated like cancer.

Doctors have been coming forward with this type of information for weeks now but the media has been unresponsive about reporting it.
