The World Hates Us

Yes, it's spreading. The hostility between people who want to fight over "paper or plastic" has somehow permeated the crust of the earth we inhabit and by default, all of it's creatures.

If mountains aren't killing people, flesh-eating viruses are! Is the natural world taking it's pound of flesh? Or have we altered the psyche of the organic world by systematically replacing it with a synthesized one?

Bah! I don't really believe any of that chit but this IS a hostile planet and so I applaud the committed drive of industry to kill this wretched rock before it kills us! Damn the Doritos!

Oh, right. Don't go outside!

Silly me....

...should have seen it coming. The pundits and news culture of the left biased media now are trying to build a case for our brilliant President's highly competent personal physician's being a liar. As I said, if his terrifically supportive medical evaluation of our brilliant President were in the least bit negative, instead of enormously positive, especially with regard to his mental states, who doubts there would be a Trump hate fest the size of Montana, lasting months? Silly me. A-V.

Cold urticaria, what in tarnation????

For many years now I have experienced a breakout of spontaneous hives. It first started out as a tingling and weird itching and a "bump" like a mosquito bite. The thing had the weirdest itch I had ever experienced. It stung and itched for about 15 minutes and then it would disappear.

As I got older the symptoms got worst and I started noticing this phenomena would happen when I got the area affected wet or a cool breeze would pop up. It would affect just about any part of my body.

Then in the last 6 years or so the intensity of the occurrence increased and a couple of years ago the dang hives covered most of the upper part of the body and down to my belt line. Other than the dagnabbed itching it didn't seem to be harming me or making me feel bad like an illness might. I simply ignored it and laughed because it was so weirdly funny.

My move to Arizona where it is warm most of the year round has seemed to make the hives appear more often. Now that it's fall and coming to winter this crazy hive comes on me at night while I'm in bed. I have begun to wrap myself in full winter guard like sweat outfits to keep me warm and it appears like i will have to start wearing gloves as well.

Air conditioning has ALWAYS bothered me. Today as i sit in the library and the AC cranking away like were in a meat locker I can feel the crazy things itch and pop up on my legs and arms. AND on my forehead where the cap band covers the area above my eye brows.

Is this crazy or what? It started to really get to me since, again, it's been occurring more often. I have always kidded about me being allergic to cold. I didn't think the topic or symptom actually existed except in my joking! So today I googled the little sucker and sure enough it is an actual allergy.

The more i read the more I say "Yep". That's what happens to me. This phenomena has also been confirmed by the Mayo clinic so once again I call it by it's name: Cold urticaria!

Who woulda thunk this stuff existed. But here it is at this moment on my forehead itching away like mad, erupting then slowly disappearing.

So, excuse me while I read some more and if I don't come back to see the comments you will know I have succumbed to cold urticaria!!!

Last song

Been and paddled on 24th of December.

Supposed to be a merry rainbow flotilla of five kayaks, mais none. Only us two chickens, boss… well, not really, as the third chicken found us in the middle of the fjord to tell us that she’s in hurry and merry-christmas-off-I-go.

But never mind.

People - the bathing people, see - took pictures of us, imagine :)

My companion is known to fancy himself as a singer, so singing he did. It was as paddling with a radio on. Nothing you can do about, only to endure and wait for the better. In the end, he kindly asked what song I liked better. I honestly answered: the last one. I didn’t say, that I liked it because I thought it was the last one – I’d like any last song per default (that’s the major feature of mine) – it’s being Christmas and all – and immediately I’s rewarded by the repeating of the favourite. You like it or not.

None the less.

The bleak sun of Scandinavian winter painted the tops of the low hills in peach-pink: you could eat it with a tea spoon.

On the way home, had Orion plastered across my windscreen for 20 min: bright stars sending their light through brazillions of time and space units to humour me…

….then the road turned.

How To Achieve Radiant Skin

Skincare and Beauty - Crafting a tailored skincare routine is your gateway to achieving radiant skin.
Start by identifying your skin type - oily, dry, combination, or sensitive - to select the right products. Battling acne and scars requires a comprehensive approach, from gentle cleansers to targeted spot treatments. Patience is key, and consulting a dermatologist can offer personalized guidance.

Anti-aging products with ingredients like retinol and hyaluronic acid combat fine lines and age spots, maintaining a youthful appearance. Never underestimate the power of sunscreen in protecting against premature aging. Choose a broad-spectrum SPF suitable for your skin type and apply generously for outdoor activities. Natural and organic beauty products are favored for their gentleness, absence of harsh chemicals, and eco-friendliness. However, research is vital to ensure these products align with your values.

Your diet directly impacts your skin's health. A well-balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains promotes healthy skin and hair. Weight management and overall vitality are maintained through balanced nutrition. Foods like complex carbohydrates and lean proteins provide energy boosts throughout the day. Nutrient-rich options, like eggs and salmon, stimulate hair growth, making diet integral to your beauty routine.

Physical activity is crucial for physical and mental well-being. A balanced workout routine includes both cardio and strength training to shed pounds and sculpt a lean physique. Resistance training and a protein-rich diet are key to building muscle and increasing strength. Targeted exercises, tailored to specific body areas, help you achieve your fitness goals. To maintain exercise motivation, set achievable goals, diversify your workouts, and seek support when needed.

Reducing stress and anxiety is paramount for overall well-being. Incorporate mindfulness techniques such as meditation and deep breathing into your daily routine. Effective relaxation techniques, like yoga and spending time in nature, promote mental respite. Balancing work and personal life is vital for well-being, necessitating boundaries and self-care. The connection between mental and physical health is profound, with regular exercise, a nutritious diet, and adequate sleep contributing to holistic well-being.

Healthy, vibrant hair is a vital part of your beauty routine. Prevent split ends and hair damage with sulfate-free, moisturizing hair products. Opt for air-drying to minimize heat damage. Trendy hairstyles that complement your face shape can enhance your appearance. Natural remedies like coconut oil and aloe vera nourish and strengthen hair. Choose hair products suited to your hair type for the best results.

Makeup enhances your natural beauty. Achieve a natural look with subtle makeup - flawless skin, defined brows, and muted lip color. Experiment with makeup styles, such as the smokey eye, for a creative expression. Prioritize quality and safety when selecting makeup products, favoring reputable brands. If you have sensitive skin, opt for makeup designed for sensitive skin types.

Effective weight management encompasses a balanced diet, regular exercise, and portion control. Sustaining a healthy weight long-term relies on maintaining healthy habits. Consult with nutritionists or dietitians to find the most suitable diet for your needs. Boost metabolism through nutrition, exercise, and building lean muscle mass.

Combat signs of aging with skincare products containing ingredients like retinol and hyaluronic acid. Healthy aging involves maintaining a balanced diet, physical activity, and nurturing your mental health. Look for anti-aging ingredients such as collagen, peptides, and growth factors in skincare products. Don't neglect the health of your hands and nails as you age.
You need not rigidly conform to every guideline.

The Money Sweet Spot ... PLUS BONUS ... Why Women And Dogs Are The Best Things About Living

I decided to combine these two concepts in one blog because in some way they are related. Money isn't the best thing about living (in case you haven't learned that yet). I've been on both sides of the equation and this is what I learned: money has a sweet spot. If you have too little, it's all you can think about while missing out on the things you love. If you have too much it's the same damn issue. It's all you can think about while missing out on the things you love. There's a sweet spot in the middle somewhere. It's a big sweet spot. But it isn't all that easy being outside of its borders on either of the sides in spite of what people who haven't been on both sides think.

Here's the bonus... As far as I'm concerned there would be no reason for living if it wasn't for women and dogs.

That's it. It's a short blog. But I think it pretty much says it all for me.

Trust is life

Trust is a fragile thing. Once earned, it affords us tremendous freedom. But once trust is lost, it can be impossible to recover. Of course the truth is, we never know who we can trust. Those we’re closest to can betray us, and total strangers can come to our rescue. In the end, most people decide to trust only themselves.
