The Virtual Way (Getting To Know Someone)
Is it actually possible to get to know someone well via the various means available on the Internet without actually meeting in real life?
Unfortunately the answer is that it's extremely difficult. The human mind has an amazing ability to be able to assume and imagine things. Your imagination, expectations, and subconscious tend to take over when you are presented with the scant amount of information often found via the Internet. It is so easy to make false assumptions about someone, and one of the biggest lessons you could learn about Internet dating is not to assume anything.
No doubt you will find a profile or meet someone in a chat room that you will think is just perfect, and the person you have been waiting your whole life for. Trust me, it happens to every Internet dater given enough time. Whatever you do you have to resist the temptation to think you have met the person of your dreams. Be enthusiastic and hopeful for sure, but try not to jump to such huge conclusions based on what is essentially very little information.
Through experience you will learn that people usually turn out quite differently in real life to the image you had built up of them via the Internet. This is one of the most common outcomes of meeting someone through the Internet, and really with hindsight it is quite obvious why this is so.
If you have ever had a regular 'blind date', you will most likely have already experienced this. The friend who set you up tells you something about the person, but when you finally meet they end up not being as they had been described. The differences with Internet dating are that you often get to know more details about the person beforehand from their profile and other information. You can also chat and exchange emails for many months before deciding to meet them.
Stay clear of 'virtual relationships' (getting to know and fall in love with someone without meeting), they rarely, if ever work. Getting to know someone requires interaction in the real world face to face, there is no substitute for it. The Internet is a very poor and often misleading alternative.
This, of course, does not mean you cannot get to know and fall in love with someone via the Internet, it's just that it's extremely difficult and statistically not very successful. For the vast majority of people it will not work.

Veterans Day Tribute
For those of you (men & women) who have served this country in it's defense, I honor you and thank you for answering the call to duty in an effort to keep our great country free. I also salute in solemn remembrance, those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and either did not make it back to our shores, or only did so in body.

Start of the Green Mountain Night Blog
Thinking back to some of my more enjoyable first dates....
I think having drinks and playing pinball was a good one. The staring into a new person's eyes and getting excited in a dark corner of a bar. That was a good time.
Seeing a concert together is a fun time. That was a great time for everyone involved.
I think in general, something quiet like a drink and some time to be able to talk is crucial. A loud bar usually doesnt work.
A mid day meeting was fun too.

GOATEE'S POWER VS KNOWLEDGE

Darn if you do and darn if you don't right?? I'm not up to par here and I need to do this and so on and so on?? Always learning but never understanding salvation and it's purpose. Always giving advice from their own minds but never stopping to seek God in any manner.
Rid yourself of this religious burden laid on the back of man that God never meant for. Always rushing to step 2 never understanding step 1<<<<<understanding how to work in the Spirit of the Lord.
It's like putting people in the spiritual battles of men's souls and they have no idea what they are doing. They have knowledge maybe all the right words but never abiding in the love of Christ to bring that reality to the one's around. I taught a youth class once and opening prayer I prayed Lord God fill this room with your Spirit and teach us in your Spirit those kids preachers kids even looked at me like I was a mad man I got tickled. Wonder why your kids are falling away at young age?? Well that be one, full of knowledge but never seeing the reality of Christ in Spirit.
Might say this guy insulting the way we do things grrrring and all.
I don't care if you are or not. Care less until I can see my wrongs and accept His rights I'm no use to the cause of the Gospel, starts there and ends there everyday of your life. I'm lead by Christ yeah people get all up in my biz wax 24/7 and 9 times out of 10 its strife. What does that tell me and these people proclaim Christ??? That tells me a lot of work to be done. Not by me but by everyone who ((knows)) and understands salvation stop beating around the bush and tell it like it is. Not far as rules and demands point people to the Lord and His Spirit rid these excuses if you don't have time to pray busy person learn to pray in your head and learn what to pray for<<<<.
Really no excuses your the excuse rejecting the conviction of the light<<((Spirit)) that condemns you Bible says it more than once.
Live a alive faith in the Lord in the power of the Holy Spirit, instead this dry boring knowledge game that doesn't get my attention and being a Spiritual man sure isn't getting the lost. Get Smart

Greg wakes up at home with a huge hangover.
He forces himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he sees is a
couple of aspirins and a glass of water on the side table. He sits down and sees his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed. Greg looks around the room and sees that it is in perfect order, spotless, clean. So is the rest
of the house.
He takes the aspirins and notices a note on the table. "Honey,
breakfast is on the stove, I left early to go shopping. Love You!"
So he goes to the kitchen and sure enough there is a hot breakfast
and the morning newspaper. His son is also at the table, eating. Greg
asks, "Son, what happened last night?"
His son says, "Well, you came home around 3 AM, drunk and delirious.
Broke some furniture, puked in the hallway, and gave yourself a black
eye when you stumbled into the door."
Confused, Greg asks, "So, why is everything in order and so clean,
and breakfast is on the table waiting for me?"
His son replies, "Oh, that! Mom dragged you to the bedroom, and when
she tried to take your pants off, you said, "Lady leave me alone!
I'm married!"
