surprise, I made a new friend today
a voice from the past kept filling my head
her sound was uplifting, made me feel gay (I'm taking the word gay back, to be used as I see fit)
drawn out of my shell as each word was said

for far, far, too many years
time spent before had been held deep inside
in dormancy nestled one with my fears
would rumble but only in mind would it bide

and then a sweet songbird entered my ears
awakening sounds that I had dismissed
easing my conscience that once fed my fears
her astounding siren I could not resist

anew let to sing my words of love
meanings and feelings soon crept from my heart
and soon were echoed to heaven above
never again will my song and I part

We're about to end another year and soon begin a new one. We hope God will use you in many powerful ways during this next year. Today, we want to give a very special thanks to all of you who have been close to us either physically, emotionally or spiritually.

Thank you for your prayers, for your care, for your encouragement, for your friendship and especially for loving the Lord and expanding His kingdom here on earth.
You are so special and we pray the Lord will provide you with all you need.

The New Year is an amazing opportunity for us to look ahead and resolve to live each day like it is our first. When we focus on serving Jesus each day, no day of the year will be wasted.
