This falls in line with the Bible's teaching that God created man in His image. What is the universe but the "physical body" of God. It began with 'one' cell, which divides and multiplies in and of itself through the creation of multiuniverses, in much the same way as a human embryo from the time of conception. Thus creating "a physical body for the expression of spirit".
Excellent thought. I like the depth and yet with simplicity...
faucon22: Do you means it seems too cliche in the discussion of this forum or too cliche for the science believes of today?
My question is, what was there before the first particule of matter was created... or how something could be created out of nothing
Science and in this forum. We all know that this theory will evolve as science evolves in deepening and broadening new possibilities and cosmological properties with the discoveries within the quantum field. Science does not stand still, it soldiers on. Carl Sagan said, "Science is not only compatible with spirituality; it is a profound source of spirituality". What I mean, is that I strongly feel that there is truth waiting to be discovered there, as they compliment each other.
I can't really answer you question in your last paragraph. I'm working on it, and the info is being spoonfed to me. But I do sense that there was or is something beyond nothing...infinity. I'm thinking in terms of fractals in a cosmological sense. Nothing always comes from something, and something is nothing's child.
After the Big Bang and after countless eons, Earth was evenyually formed and brought forth life. In the ensuing periods of millenia that followed, Homosapiens eventually appeared and evolved into modern day man who now spend countless hours in front of a computer screen trying to answer the age old questions; "What happened before the big bang and where did I put my socks."

Good point.
There are two dominant religious mythologies. According to Judaeo-Christian belief, the universe had a definite beginning. This is the Genesis hypothesis, in which the universe was hatched from a cosmic egg. However, according to the Hindu-Buddhist belief in Nirvana, the universe is timeless...it never had a beginning, nor will it have an end...just infinity.
Quantum cosmology says that in the beginning there was nothign. No space, no matter or energy. but according to the quantum principle, even nothing was unstable. Nothing began to decay and boil with billions of tiny bubbles forming and expanding rapidly. Each bubble became an expanding universe. If this is supposedly, true, then our universe is actually part of a much larger multiverse of parallel universes, which is truly timeless like Nirvana.
To be honest, I like the holographic universe theory and that infinity is what it is...infinite.

God bought a magic set!
Since there was no air....no sound....no bang......more like a silent poot!
What is seen was created by that unseen. Therefore another existance was and is in place that gave us the big bang we think is all in all. But in truth is a tiny part of this other spiritual and energy existance.

I think this gets closer to the point of all creation stories. Mostly all of them speak of the 'nothing', before the 'something'. Without resorting to the semantics - the word is 'no - thing'. Some of these creation stories describe a locum where before 'creation' to put it as simply as possible, there was no physical 'thing' - which doesn't mean, that absolutely nothing existed - just on this plane of existence. It also seems that, we are part of a process which appears and then disappears, thousands - if not millions of times over - the inbreath and then the outbreath of a greater and unimaginable (on this plane) being. A theory/explanation as plausible, as any other.
What happened before the big bang? Which one? Hell, I'm in my 50's, and have spent a lot of time bangin' around. There's been some big ones, some little ones, and some in between. Just before the biggest bang I ever had, was a six pack, some snow, both outside, and inside, a brain dart ot two, then BANG! More than 15,000 lbs of force created a new me. And it was glorious!
Just a few points of scientific clarification if you will. Someone mentioned the black holes only exist at the center of the galaxies. This is a theory and very well observed one. Scientist have called these Supermassive black holes. Second black holes are not caused by the explosion of supernovas rather they (not just supernovas but theories range from various types of compact stars as well) implode or collapse under their own gravity until a singularity (a single point of infinite mass). Now these black holes are called stellar black holes and there is estimated to be 100's of millions of these in our universe.
Now back to the bigbang there are theories that the Supermassive black holes are actually primordial or created at or during that event. I've heard a theory that suggests that the Big Bang was initiated, catalyzed, by a white hole, the opposite of a black hole.
Ok that is my science dialogue on this site for the month.

I do know the answer to the sock question the dryer gnomes steal at least one of each pair.
Hello PB...we go out for dinner last night at CASINO KOREA with my girl friends...tonight is a big bang we have dinner at Sunset Lounge together with the friends,,, wish you are here to make a big bang.!!

Just because our puny little minds cannot fathom infinity doesn't mean that everything HAD to have had a beginning.
I don't believe in the 'Big Bang' THEORY and why should I? Science is nice but would you believe someone if their story on anything changed every five to ten years?
Don't get me wrong, I DO think that science and spirituality are compatible, I just don't think one or the other have the monopoly on Truth.
