jvaski: Maybe then YOU can teel us why health insurance companies have been allowed to increase their premiums so dramatically ? And why have medical services gone up so dramatically ? Is all that Obama's fault ?
Well maybe they increaased their premiums to meet the raising cost of health care. To keep their policy holders covered. Maybe those increases are because health care is a high tech business of advanced technologies today, that is not inexpensive. The day of the family Dr that come to your house in hore drawn wagon are gone, Juan. They don't take chickens anymore.
While every State is different. Here in Florida.....when a insurance carrier has a major rate increase.....they have to have state approval. CA might try it...if they don't have it legislated.
It is not Obama fault. But it is Obama's solution. If the solution does not work.....then Obama rightfully gets the blame, Juan.
But I think the 4 year delay is lousy thing. It means for a full 4 years, we will not know if this works or does not. For the next 4 years people are going to be debating this health care solution. For 4 years Obama protected himself from criticism. all the time these bad things in health care were going to continue.
Already you got hill DEMs saying that any health care protest are contrived and menial. Even unAmerican. Heck Juan....DEM ask us to trust them with the countries health care....then cannot deliver anything for 4 years. They hear complaints. Call the complaints contrived and menial? UN American? Give me break...
We got other things to do......than debate for the next 4 years health care. And to be called unAmerican. Alot of people are out of the name calling game, Juan. Me included.
jvaski: If McCain isn't running - why is he campaigning with Palin right now ?
McCain said he would not running for Presidency, again Juan. His Senate seat is a different office and a different matter. He never said he would not run that office again.
McCain will keep his word on that Jaun. He knows his age is against him on the Presidency now.
jlw45: most all of them are lawyers...and they'de sale their mother for a nickle....hell, they're selling america for not much more...
This is why tort reform is so important, and why both parties shy away from it. Politicians are lawyers. They argue intangibles for a tangible return. None of them want to rock the boat of their colleagues. America is the most litigious Nation on the planet. In my opinion, actuarial tables take this into account and the prices of insurance reflect this tort orientation culture.
Ambulance chasers need to be run over by the Ambulance once in awhile in order to know how it feels on the other side of the laws.

Lawyers and drug companies buy more and more advertising time on television, hawking the latest class-action suit, or selling the latest miracle drug with side effects that make the treated condition sound like the sniffles. Couldn't this money be better spent?

Tort reform is only a drop in the bucket compared to reason for the high cost of health care
jlw45: keep it up boghi, and i'm gonna vote for you come election time...
I wouldn't think of running for President. The time hasn't come for true Libertarian values to preside in America. I think Goldwater had it right when he said the Religious Right has high-jacked the Conservative movement. Their rhetoric leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I refuse to be that dishonest. To thineself be true. The audience isn't listening so why waste my breath?

"The Watchdogs of Justice eventually become blinded in their self-satisfaction of a job well-done. Forgotten are the means taken to achieve Justice that wound the the very Liberties that they are meant to serve. This is what is meant when it is said that Justice is blind.
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? should be our motto. Forever should we maintain vigilance over ourselves. Forget transparency to the nation or the world. First, we must be transparent with ourselves, or all else is hypocrisy. Truly do we then become our own worst enemy." - Me, right now, on Connecting singles, emulating the role of a Bene Gesserit aphorism from Frank Herbert's Dune
jvaski: Not defending drug companies ......but there has to be some incentive for them to research new drugs for cures .
There is absolutely NO capitalistic incentive, and that is what health-care has become; capitalism. I can remember my father talking about house calls. Gone is health "care". Nobody cares. It's a giant snake-oil scam now in the name of the almighty dollar and both parties are in on it.

Sure it is , but the problem is how does one not throw out the baby with the bath water ? Kinda a necessary evil these drug companies have become

So the Obaminoids have all shifted into high gear, trying to maintain the illusion of public support long enough for Obama's poison to kill the US.
Shut up for once with your stupid and false realities. At least post something with some kind of truth. Sheesh, the French did a number on you man.
