jvaski: These things can, and will eventually be solved - and sooner if some of you make an effort to "partially" accept some different approaches than traditional rebublican policies ...

I for one have little problem with "Change" but as a businessman it has to, and must be change with a sound game plan behind it...
There is litte soundness behind this health care plan...I'm curious why you of all people did not comment on my earlier post about the issues I have with the plan?????.....drinking

In case you missed it:

redkayak: One of the problems as SOME of us see it, is that it's not a national health care system like in most of the other countries. We will have additional taxes for sure just like the other countries and here's what I believe most foreigners do not understand, we will still have to BUY an insurance policy from a FOR profit company, mandated by the Federal Government or be financially penalized. While the people who have health care through their employer or can afford a private policy see this as a great thing as they will not have to supplement the ones without health insurance and should bring their premiums down, we all know that's serious longshot. Now, the 32 million that will now be covered, as the hype goes, will still have to PURCHASE an insurance policy with their own money, in addition to new taxes that will be needed to implement this atrocity or the Government will have to pay for them, like Medicare, unemployment compensation, etc. I for one have a probem with the government mandating that I must purchase a product from a FOR PROFIT company and I cannot choose any company I want, I can only buy a policy from an insurance company in Florida.

Earlier Response to Steve:

And have you noticed the pro health care and pro Obama people totally ignored commenting on my post....Does that not make you wonder? This health care reform is NOTHING like what Canada or Europe has. What we are getting is a government MANDATING the health care industry that they HAVE TO insure everyone regardless of pre existing conditions, etc. and MADATING the the 32 million without Insurance HAVE TO buy a policy from a FOR PROFIT insurance company without being able to shop out of the state you live in....OR pay a financial penalty, which means they'll take it out of your income tax refund, which also means they will have to be a data base on who has and who has not bought insurance.....Ya, great plan indeed...WTF

this will be a problem as long as the government stick it nose into everyday life and it will continue to divide this nation until the democrats are thrown out of office and the president get voted out in 2012. government should work for the people not control the people like this corrupt government is doing. plus there will be no peace as long as tryanny grips the nation

I wanna thank all of you ( except Ambrose ) J/K .....for today's fun here.
The way I see it , it is good that we confront each other with these issues and remain civil ..........very mad

But seriously .......we all have different backgrounds, different opinions based on combinations of experiences and up bringing , political knowlege, and even just common sense ( street smarts ).........
And, the thing to remember is that as frustrating as it seems - none of us are entirely sure exactly what direction we and our government need to go. I simply ask that people try to set asside their engrained life pattern of the way it should be - and entertain or incorporate others thoughts and ideas to create something entirely new.
I am not one to talk here......but have learned in my later years that compromise is the key to success .

jvaski: I have badgered some of you who think differently than I do.
But the truth be known, the negativity, hatred and animosity in this country has sickened me to the core. It's as if a great dark cloud has blanketed our land and brought out the worst in everyone. ( myself included )
Again, I sincerely hope these issues before us all are soon brought to amicable solution - so that we as a nation can begin to recover the pride we all once had, with who we are and where we live.

I believe you will find, "the negativity, hatred and animosity" were an intended result of the ones forcing through this healthcare measure. With the start of this process it was spoken of has being reform of healthcare. To reform, and meet the promises made by those claiming to be leaders in the cause, you would need to reform a program that is in trouble. They kinda skipped that step, and slid its tattered bureaucracy into the middle of new legislation. Had they meant to reform healthcare would have met exposing what, and why it needed reformation. That, of itself, would have exposed a ponzi scheme, along with its rules, and regulations, that Americans know nothing about. To do so, you would need to first understand the rules, and regulations written around the federal legislation. After that those of the individual states, where you would learn that, of the 50 states, there are not two states interpreting, definining, or dispensing the law on an equal basis.

They have had you fooled for years, and there is not a single American taxpayer who is getting the bang for the buck they believe. I've been 30 years in the midst of this subject, and it does seem great to see their world falling apart.

jvaski: The issues have all been beaten to death like a dead horse ....and only the hoofs are left ........

Many of the issues have been fabricated by those who oppose Obama ........let's start with just one - the Acorn connection.
Many of you call him a "terrorist" or "radical" for that connection - when in fact NO one has ever proven he actually had knowlege of the illegal activities of that organization while employed with them.

Juan, I never said Obama was a terrorist for a association and history with ACORN. I admit I have no love for an organization that place false voter registration application in. But it is not a terrorist organization.

I called it unfair....to the one person one vote concept of the country....what ACORN was doing.

As for radical? I thought the association with Bill Ayers and Tony Resko pushed in there. There is more to Resko that just a slum lord. He is Syrian. He got alot money from someplace and someone to build his real estate business. What Resko is? Am not sure. But there is more to RESKO than meets the eye, in my opinion. If interested in more, contact me by email here.

I'm all for it, J, as long as those "other" thoughts and ideas do not violate the United States Constitution or the spirit of the Bill of Rights, and free trade.

Free Trade? Does that exist any more? No? Perhaps that's part of the problem.dunno

I can only see two real choices .....either regulate medical providers and health insurance companies .....or provide true competition for helth insurance companies by having a public option. And people who seriously can't afford their own insurance policy payments would need to go on the government plan (public option) Then if the helth insurance companies still refuse to lower their premiums - regulate the hell out of em !
