if they wanted it they could get it-
it is there.
yes people are taxed for it but some is given back across the board not like here
america has been becoming a class system for about 30 yrs and this recent financial crisis has really magnified, compounded and escalated it.
im sorry folks but truth be told i am somewhat of a socialist.
im for free enterprise but there must be some controls in effect at the levels of big corporations and dammit the small business needs to be the majority and there is no excuse for the so called greatest country on earth to have so many hungry homeless citizens
and i dont mean the addicts and 'rebels' that want to be outside society i mean the one paycheck away from homelessness families that dont even have 'those problems'.
as a socialist i would sleep better knowing we were all basically cared for. everyone deserves the basics according to human decency and the constitution. food clothing shelter.
a minivan for a home and a 99cent burger aint food and shelter.
a million kids wont eat today in the greatest country on earth.
i dunno what the answer is but i dont know why we arent asking the question either

how one treats the least is always the most telling thing.
and what we are judged by.

I believe also in respecting a country's beliefs and ideals, even if they do not match my own 100%. I also believe that if you live in a country where you dislike their politics, you either leave, or lobby to make a difference.
