No, that was not the point of my post. At one time, 'telling stories' (even if they were true) could get you into allot of trouble. Indeed for many years here in the US and in Europe, they had very stiff law on libel and defamation.

Indeed the US still has defamation cases (many on the internet) that is the plantiff proves 'actual malice' hefty awards have been made. How hefty? One case was $3.5m against a Russian newspaper.

Considering that 17 states have criminal defamation laws, and we don't know where the man and women (some that likely are still living and the drug companies that supported the tests) that conducted these STD tests live or might file their charges to defamation.

Many say...'the truth is a defense'. It is not always, the case. It is not if this 'actual malice' is proven in the court. You can tell the truth for harmful and injurious effects.

But no I was not accusing you of censorship......cheers

You must demonstrate BOTH beyond a reasonable doubt. If the statements aren't false, the plaintiff can't win. You can't be sued successfully because you stated a "damaging truth". Your statements must be damaging AND false.

Yes...my lack of respect is APPALLING!!! How dare I have the audacity to post about "American U.S. medical researchers INTENTIONALLY giving Guatemalans gonorrhea and syphilis! How dare I post that this is the second time the U.S. has apologized(although, what an apology would do I have no idea)for using humans(even if the U.S. did not consider them so)as guinea pigs and either letting them die or INTENTIONALLY giving them diseases that could kill them, not only in the U.S. but around the globe....

and then, we have the military using civilian casualties as trophies. I guess they could say that the civiliam Afghans that were killed, were killed by "friendly fire." Some friend!!!

Soldiers who were acting on their own against all orders and in fact, are being charged for disobeying orders. It is not the policy of the US military to kill civilians and take their body parts as trophies.
