Sade88: Hi there, I don't think religion is the cause of that behavior , but most certainly Islam encourages it. There are verses in Quran , as this video is all about, and teaches men how to beat up their women, one of the thing it says is that : during the beating the sick that is under your arm should not be dropped.

The Muslim girl who got her nose and some other part cut off didnt get help from the law in her country and had to come to the U.S to get it fixed with out tax dollars,but I'am rally happy they gave her some of her life back, she was around 20..

Oh yeah as you said Quran is the Holly book of the Muslims, but wife beating is a human behavior, which is , as you know illegal in the west, but encouraged in some courtiers and in the Middle east . I don't think other religions like Christianity or Judaism gives people instructions as to how to beat up your wives, but Islam does. Why? I am clueless on that.

Last year we celebrated 9-11 with "leading voices" decrying the efforts on to erect a monument on the World Trade Center by a slum lord. Then our "current" president weighed in on the matter -- you know the guy who said: "don't rush to judgment.." after the radical PSYCHOlogist officer shot the place up in Austin Texas. So folks this is not just another rant: the guy in the video with the bed sheets on also thinks that it's ok to crash planes into buildings and shoot up soliders, etc...

I think the concern with Islam is that it is "sanctioned"
many moslems in the US are here because they are refugees - a fact many in our country forget. they come to be educated and to worship freely as is provided in our ocnstitution- and want nothing to do with violence _ or they would not be here

Who's talking about oil? We love our women over here and many of us don't look at any belief system to justify beating our women "lightly" but "no more than 10 times" like an animal. Get a grip! We got enough of our own oil but now that Obama's on the dole with the Saudi's he had to cut the drilling off. But no matter, when we "drill baby drill" and the price is back down...the dude in the bed sheets is going to still get on the tube and tell you how to beat your woman "the right way.."
