I am ranting today..i dont normally rant...but...i was watching tv programme this morning about benefit cheats..i am baffled as a woman that lives in France was able to falsely claim over £80,000 from the British taxpayer..me being one of them..jeez what the heck is the matter with Britain..after claiming for 6 years it took an eagle eyed benefit employee to spot this fraudulent claim...how many more i wonder..

I don't think that is an isolated incident as stories like that crop up quite a lot. I think if Benefit staff were given a money reward for successfully spotting incidents like this then more would come to light.
We here are a soft touch aren't we? No wonder economic migrants don't stop at Calais and try to get across the Channel every which way they can.
I have no beef about immigrants to the UK. What I do have a beef about are those that do not contribute to society here, learn the language, work and pay taxes for the benefit of society.

Harper is a nice name. Seven is a bit ridiculous, but I think it is David's number?

It makes me laugh with some winners who after winning several millions still work in the same job, and live in the same house. Mind you 160 million is more than I would know what to do with. A lot I would give to charities of course. I used to win a few £10 when Camelot first started the lottery which was 1994 or so I believe.
What I did do several times was the Irish Lottery and had quite a few wins on that of a few hundred each time but I moved and the betting shops were not nice places to go to in the area I moved to!

Absolutely - well said. You have to be in it to win it and if fate does not for some reason pick some people it is because it is not meant to be. We would all like a better home, car, holidays etc., but we need to just be happy with what we have and to me good health is the most important of all, together with family, friends and the usual things of course!
