Wow_Factor: What a disgusting comment you made. Suppose it was on your doorstep - how would you feel. The idiocy of some on forums never fail to surprise me.

Direct your comments to the initiator with his comments "" how to kill govt. officials etc etc """ of this little debate please and not in my direction. What is disgusting is that 84 youngsters were slaughtered in cold blood by the same bomb maker just some time after the bomb went off and all people can think about is the death of a drugged up alcoholic that couldnt sing for her dinner. Makes one think about this world. My comments were in jest as a reply to those made by the said initiator, and do not reflect my opinions in this matter. Oh and for your geographical knowledge, it was on my doorstep (4 hours drive away)

I also do not and have never needed a spokeswoman !!!!! And yes you are quite right in your statement ""The idiocy of some"" etc. There are more than enough on here

Hi Gussi & Sail,

Not that I want to get into get into an argument, but have to say that both of you, imo, misinterpreted Mickeys post. While it could have been shown better, I understood his point.

Gussi, if you had used roll eyes rather than laugh then I could have seen where you were coming from, but using the laughing one was just in very bad taste, no matter what way you look at it, imo.

Sail, you have the benefit of seeing Gussi in person where you can see what context he places his reply on with body language, the rest of us don't, and its why, at times our points can misconstrued on here, and can understand why Mickey took exception to your reply to him, as you said nothing of Gussi's.

As for posts regarding Oslo, its not surprising there are not many in UK as tis more an international incident, and some of us have replied to the ones in the international section:

I also see Sail also posted one in the European thread, which was thoughtful:

As for the text I have highlighted in your reply above Gussi, I think you have got this wrong as well, imo. I doubt any person in their right mind makes little of the tragedy in Norway..
sad flower

The difference with Amy is that, through her music, she touched millions on an individual level throughout the world. As for more replies, well as she is British, it is what I would expect, though Phoenix is correct in regards to all the other people who have lost their lives through drug misuse since Amy left us. But again, I say it is down to the fact her music touched many on a personal level. As for stating she could not 'sing for her dinner', while you may not like her music, for someone who wins five grammys, you are surely in the minority, (I'm not an Amy fan, but I did enjoy her songs).

Now, lets have a big group hug and hopefully today we will hear no more of people falling out and especially of no more tragedy, though it is very sad, which Crystal points out, regarding the famine in East Africa.. moping Thankfully UNICEF is helping as much as it can, as well as thousands of others around the world..

Thank you Yash124G - a touch of sanity in this thread.

Everybody, take a big, deep breath and calm down!! It is very easy to mis-interpret a post on any forum as we don't have the benefit of mannerisms, facial expressions, etc.??

Lets all agree that this weekend internationally has been a very sad day and not add to it?? teddybear

Yes, a big group hug is in order hug kiss

If only more people were as thoughtful, compassionate and think outside the box. The world would be a better place.

I'd worked many hours yesterday so only popped on briefly to answer a couple of mails, post in a few threads whilst waiting for my dinner to arrive as I'd not eaten all day. One of the three threads I posted on was one of the Oslo ones on the International forum, as I thought it was the appropriate place to post sad flower

Hi Yash, Thanks got back safely to the South.
Just read your post. I do not live in the pocket of Mr.G. and to what he or anyone posts is freedom of speech. So as its an open Forum one does and can write what they feel. I would add provided within the rules and not personal attacks which I have had once again.
Tragic circumstances in Oslo and its far more important than the silly comments that have been made by some on here.
The mass killing of innocents is something we should be thinking of now and not such things as who is right or wrong.

I just saw Lord Coe on Sky saying that had the UK known at the time of the bid about the recession, they would have doubled their efforts in the bid! Personally I think I will only be interested in the spectacle of the opening ceremony and the closing ceremony. I may be interested in the swimming as I enjoy swimming myself although of course I am not a fraction as good as the competitors. I am leaving the UK this winter for good, but if I were staying I would probably rent out my flat and escape for the duration of the Olympics as I live in one of the Olympic boroughs and could make a fortune from renting my flat out for the few weeks or so.

I think it has been worthwhile Mickey, and I'm sure the facilities will be used for many years in the future, (for example, the Royal Commenwealth Pool here is actually being refurbished for the Commonwealth Games being held in Glasgow, 2014 ).

And at least things come in on budget, as the stadium is on track for the £537m costs. Whereas for us, our superb tram is costing an extra £200m, with final cost expected to be around £770m and not even reach its original destination, (Newhaven).. sigh mumbling

Yes, things could be much worse regarding the Olympic costs.. cool

It is good the games are coming to London and the regeneration of the Olympic site at Hackney Wick is awesome, it is costing over £9bn
and whilst the main stadium may be on budget the same cannot be said about the aquatics centre, original cost £60ml final cost £260ml.

I did hear about the Edinburgh tram fiasco on the BBC the other week and personally what i have read this morning, I think they should just get on with it all the way to Newhaven then complete the loop, cheaper to do it now than later

Another awesome project underway is Crossrail costing £16bn, probably the largest construction site in Europe if not the world

cheers

Sorry to hear that Wow.. comfort
Best to change it if you can, just do not use software and have ti all boxed up. I used to sell cameras, but been a while now so have lost track of current models.

However, check the following site's for in-depth reviews and also users thoughts on them:

Thanks Yash. I am so annoyed - the only camera I have had have been the disposable ones, which are fine, but thought I better keep up with the times. I installed the software to get the user guide and questions and answers. I haven't taken any photos as the camera, although the battery is fully charged, just gives a message to switch it off. It's a good make and model according to all the online reviews, but I have simply got a dud one. The helpline guy on the phone said I should return it for a refund or replacement. Thing is I want a camera, but don't want to come across that problem with the second one. I will look at your websites, but I have been scouring the web and it is all top reviews for the make and model I bought. Just one of those things. But it gives me another chance to browse the shops, have lunch out, make a day of it, lol. Any excuse!
