venere08: He's still in bed with you. It's been months since you first told me about him.

I look forward to hearing about the incident Call me in the morning if you get a chance.

Oh, I read Henry over and over... I just love heart beating his stories about the Aussie bush... more than that tho... I love heart beating the way he puts words together in a casual way...
I never tire of reading his work.

Wish I hadn't serene. I found out that I never got to absorb the power of the mother uh oh...that is, unlike most other little girls, I never had dolls in Italy as a young child. Apparently, it is by playing with dolls that girls 'introject' the mother's power and hence gain control over their mother.... So it seems I missed out on this really important!! crying

Looking for the nearest couch...laugh

In response to: Hey folks, I'm finalising my proposal for a major writing project and I need to settle on something pretty smartly!...I have some ideas but I'd love to hear yours. We need to include a marketing package in the final draft, one which has wow factor written all over it, so I need to get it right, from the outset....no pressure!!

So...what type of book would you head for?

1. Novel(fiction)
2. Collection of short stories(fiction)
3. Reflections about the writer's life/travel/experiences
4. A tongue in cheek, humourous self-help book dealing with women's (mainly)mental health and well being, with writer's self-revelations thrown in...
5. Any others related to creative non fiction or fiction.

Many thanks and look forward to anyone's opinion if you get a chance.

any thoughts on e-books? Who buys them, or who prefers to buy hard copy books, but online? ...I buy many books online, but not e-books.

All of the above. Just can't get into Mills & Boon.

Can't pass an op shop without walking in to see what I haven't read, or want to read again. I have 3 bookcases full, a coffee table with books piles 6 deep, a lounge with just about as many on it, the mantle place lined with books plus heaps of boxes of books. And my daughter is giving me a couple more each week (she loves reading, too).

The books that give me the most grief are those that I can't put down until I have finished, too many long nights on those. You need a 'rest point' in a book somewhere along the line where the reader can put it down to do those important bits like sleep, housework(?), work.

Wow, that's fantastic, washu2...it seems that you pretty well read anything possibly worth reading. What a joy though...or do you have some fav type of books.

A very good idea of yours, to have some strategic break points along the way. A bit like ad breaks on television, except not so many, lol

cheers

A TV guide!

Just think! You need one every week!

It would be the only book I would read if we had one?

I have a true crime book here, it was given to me by a friend. I haven't read it yet it's called (Leadbelly true underworld crime) here in Australia. When I read it I will let you know what I think of it. Sounds nasty. uh oh

If you’re looking for a fun Saturday night date or a happily-ever-after mate, this is the guide for you. Whether you’re young and haven’t dated much or older and have been out of circulation so long you’ve forgotten how to flirt, dating can be intimidating
