"Our Forum is Dying"

It is probaby about time some people has a read of the Forum Rules.

I dropped out for a while because I found that there are some on here who have a different opinion to others, or take a slight, and then they are in for the kill quicker than a dingo during at Ayres Rock.

What makes us so different is because we look and think differently. It is fine to disagree with someone but denegrating them is a different matter.

And someone in particular should have a read of Rule #10.

There is a particular member on here that only seems to appear when they can stick the knife in... I imagine then every day trolling through the threads and posts for any unpleasantness and if there is they join in with great gusto.

I used to bite sometimes but just ignore now as this person hasn't had much to feed on of late so not seen very often.

So do what we all do pretend this person does not exist and it is really good to see you back. dancing

HEY ....You don't mean me do you

No, Martia, certainly not you. As Pebbs said, long evenings tend to make you get away from the computer. And then it is a question of whether you want to spend time in front of one for the evening. I spend all day in front of one for work and sometimes I just need a break. Especially with my back playing up.

Many other things are occupying my time of late(mainly research) and it looks like I will on the go now until after Easter.

I had changed what I wrote and forgot to delete the "during." Just a reference to the new enquiry. Odd that a dingo could actually carry a baby at Ayres Rock but has to drag anything bigger than a mouse.

I do not understand, nor ever will either how collectively people could have possibly thought that poor Lindy killed her own daughter. The forensic evidence was absolutely shocking back then, and the 'arterial spray' turned out to be something or other that the car company had sprayed under the dash board.

It was the most awful 'Witch Hunt' of the century. True, Darwin peeps had not long gone thru Tracy, were tough and resiliant, had a mental attitude that only territorians were OK and all southerners weren't.. plus, the idea of the dingo was a newie... no other documented case of a dingo taking a baby... and no-one asked the indigenous either.. The whole thing was a media circus... you either got caught up in it, or you said naught, but all in all, now that 32 years have passed, for those who remember, I am ashamed.. !! that the circus was allowed to take place... sad flower

How very true about a witch hunt. Once the police had a perp in their sights, they only looked for anything that would point at that perp. They did not bother to look elsewhere. The 'dingo' prints the the 'black tracker' the police used could hardly see and his woman had to lead him along the way, the prints were larger than a dingo, the baby clothing was cut rather than torn, and had not been pulled inside out as an animal would, the locals shot their dog shortly after and moved away a few years later after many years of being there. Too many questions that were ignored while trying to get to the "truth."

Unless someone owns up, this will remain a mystery.

there was areport years ago about dingoes, that are being fed by humans regularly, they gain weight, and are sometimes larger than a normal wild dingo,i had a dingo in 1990,had to put it down, but its paws were a lot fatter than a wild dingo,as it wasnt running around foraging for food, and when it used to rip my jeans from biting me, it was a clean tear,i think because of the material.maybe the bay clothing was a dense material and looked like it was cut more than torn, cause their teeth are bloody sharp. If you look at the dingoes in the sanctuary up here, they are double the size of a wild dingoin girth, and their paws are big
