Nidifugous: Do you ever feel as if you were born into the wrong epoch for your personality, interests, preferences, lifestyle, etc.?

Would you have loved to live at another time and/or place? Which one do you think you might have enjoyed living in? and in what capacity?

I wish I had been born in the Hawaiian Islands before the missionaries arrived.

I wish I had lived at the turn of the twentieth century. Just to see what we take for granted now, being so high tech, it was almost witchcraft.

Yes, for a long long time I felt that I would have been happier born in the 1950s or late 40s because of the music, hair and clothes and the more traditional values. But I am glad for some modern changes like more choices for women and more recognition for women's achievements. Combine those values with a Poodle Skirt, a rumble seat and a cute guy with a ducktail, and I'm in...laugh thumbs up

As an observer yes, but that was rough time no matter where you lived.

You know for all the stuff I find appealing about times past in the west, the womens' rights issues always makes me appreciate the present. I would love to have been born 20 years later so that I could take the career I always wanted and couldn't because women simply weren't hired in the field. I still have a chip on my shoulder about that. very mad frustrated

Several thousand years into the future.
Either we'll be back in the stone age, or it will be really cool.

I like the comfort and the medical advances of today. I wouldn't want to have lived in any other time zone, I think life was a lot harder in the past. conversing
