My take on it- They blew up a post office, because they ran out of potatoes. Then DeLorean built a car factory there, before he got busted for cocaine. Then that useless druggo potato head Geldoff became popular, now gay marriage is compulsory.

My late wife and I visited Southern Ireland twice and loved it and the people. I served in the RAF with a five Southern Irish lads on my first squadron in 1956 who were more intelligent and sociable than any of the Northern Irish made up of 7 Catholics and 4 Protestants.

The NI were noticeably far more aggressive every time they opened their mouth, both in speech and attitude towards us and especially Londoners who to them meant anyone with a Southern accent.

Given that some 25% of the Ground and Aircrew were from Kent, to say the least they caused trouble did not get on with any of us or even the Midlands lads so much so that in our living Blocks All Northern Irish had to be separated and went in with the Northerners, Welsh and Scots who between them managed to control them until we had them posted. My block had Midlands and Home Counties and a couple of Welsh who came from Kent and we all got on fine. Some of my colleagues are still alive and would verify that we have had similar problems in our careers since demob in the 1960's ONLY with the Northern Irish.

I would suggest for starters you go to your Public Library in Dublin and study the history of Ireland from 1800 to date and google (1801%E2%80%931923)
AND
The Easter Rising

and The Partition

which doubtless might explain why the less intelligent Northern Irish still want to fight and define us by London and the narrow minded 2 way politico-religious belief that everyone is Either a Protestant or Catholic and nothing else.

That was because the treaty signed with England excluded the 6 counties. There was severe opposition to that.

We are still living in the political aftermath of that.
Our 2 main political parties, Fianna Fail and Fianna Gael were the anti and pro-treaty parties respectively, and they still can't/won't work together for the good of the country.

No thanks. We have enough dingbats too keep us going.

We had an election a month ago, and no government yet because they won't for a government together.

We will probably have to have another election soon, because we have so much spare cash lying around that we can afford a second one roll eyes

It was Ireland he referred to . Not too many leaders have leapt to the defence of the people caught up with the Panamanian scandal , ours has .

About 300 companies based in Ireland, and I have no doubt many politicians are caught up in the Panama thing.
I'm delighted it was leaked.

Ireland is already a country where dodgy things happen. Like Hervey Norman online being based there, and Apple Australia.
