I'm thinking, if you're making salads for work, maybe try to work your way up and have a go making sandwiches. Personally, I'd like to work at the meat pie factory. Pretty much anything goes what you put in the machine, from what I can see.

Vary the content of your salad so you don't get bored.

If you like sardines, take a tin of those with you, and mix them into the salad.

Avocado is great for you.

Only have a little cheese if you are trying to lose weight.

And take a walk afterwards, no matter how short. It definitely helps.

There are great Apps available to help you control your calorie content. Eg. MyFitnessPal. You'd be amazed at how much of one type of food you can eat, and how deadly other ones are. But it definitely makes you think twice.

If someone is serious about losing weight, telling the, they can eat anything they want is a bit detrimental to that goal.
You have to learn proper portion sizes, what is high in fat/calories first.

Yes, exercise is of utmost importance, but again if not used to it, you can't go hell for leather straight away.
It has to be done in a healthy way.

i grew a few types of avocado in NSW, including from seeds and think best by looking closely you can detect they are ready to pick when the shine goes off the skin, also best to lightly press with thumb on stem area (top) never squeeze the side, just put thumb where stem was and if slightly soft then its ready.

Unripe avocados you can put in a brown paper bag with an apple or banana and i notice or tomato for two to three days to ripen.
Never try and eat un-ripened avo, because until it is ripe it hasn't turned into its oil.
Most Avocado skins do not turn brown, only the commercially promoted Hass do that, the promoted hass variety will hang a long time on the tree before must be picked and so the avocado industry educated people to believe its the best and ready to eat when it turns brown.
Earliest ripening varieties are is probably Pilkington and Jim (both clones from fruit in California) and the latest Reed and Hass

My favorite use is on toast, squeeze a bit lemon likely sprinkle pepper and salt.

Lemon juice can prevent avo browning

Even Greeks make Quinoa salad

I've always understood there are two genus types of avocado Mexican and Guatemalan (include big round variety "Reed") however see a claim on this page there is also a Hawaiian genus

these two pages might help lookin

to grow from seed chuck the avocado seed in you compost heap and pot it up when its sprouts
