I only have a daughter, but I did have to be nigh on telepathic with her. laugh

Two of my grandchildren are close in age, and despite not being biologically related, look alike and behave alike. Maybe they are too young (6 year old boy and 7 year old girl) to tell, but there doesn't seem to be much of a gender gap when it comes to working out what is going on with them. They both have stuff going on inside which they express with behaviours.

Maybe it's not just a boy/girl thing, although as Mercedes pointed out, gender does have its influences. Maybe it's also a person thing, or time and circumstances thing. dunno

Oh Mischief...yes!
I have spent the last 4 or 5 years going through hell with my daughter who around 13 changed into a creature from the dark planet Zog. She’s coming out of it bit by bit, thanks mostly to the efforts of her mother, but my goodness I wouldn’t wish it on anybody.

Thank God for my great son who just kept us all together with his good old predictable stable open understandable self.
dunno

MsContessa: A mum is a sons first love. Daughters are more complex but just as caring.
Yes! They are very different.
you are absolutely correct , those girls are a total nightmare to understand. One would expect when they reach 20+ years of age a bit of cop on would be appreciated...frustrated

Ive never been sure that she hasn't had deep-seated issues from her childhood, it was difficult due to my relationship with her father. ..

She was 18 when it ended and cut through it like a knife, like water off a duck's back

I suspect that she has high expectations of me

Perhas she's locked in a state of arrested development. I was shocked when you said 42 I'd have sworn more like 18.
