With so many single women nowadays, either through choice , or a busy lifestyle, or even , dare I say, from previous bad relationships , have they lost their femininity?
Most , through no choice of their own, have taken over the traditional male role, which has increased their testosterone level , thus making them more masculine, as a pose to feminine.
You may argue the opposite, but subconsciously, is this the real reason why so many women have become so frustrated & bitter creatures, in the modern era ?

Hmmmm...hmmm

Methinks women are easy to be manipulated or handled.

Men that are smart would know what buttons to push thus unlocking the wonders of women wink

Push the right button, even a hard-hearted feminist will melt in a man’s hand...smitten

We all do really but women particularly do and feel better in a community, they suffer more in a corporate/social network or urban swarm. On the scale of cooperation versus competition the modern world is much more competitive than ever before.

However, its also more affluent and comfortable and trivial and inward-looking and comes with these weird asiatic/buddhist values which exist as a supplement to the economic infrastructure. Meditation is about the refusal to engage or try the change the world you live in making one a perfectly obedient pawn in the system. Asiatic values are quite feminine, buddhism is the perfect housewife to the world of economic infrastructure. In terms of inward-looking, comforts and trvilaity we're more feminine. There is a feminine and passive supplement to what is in reality very much a man's world, the creature comforts and asiatic values make for the girly.

I agree , men have to take the lead role in the relationship & take responsibility as far as taking on their masculine duties are concerned , but with so many single mothers, especially in the west , how is it possible for a young man to learn the male role when there is no role model to teach him ?

You raise a number of good point there - a boy cannot learn how to be a man if there's no man in the house to teach him.
But we have a highly knowledgeable lady member here who will no doubt be along later to offer chapter and verse ... not a bad idea for people to listen if / when that happens !

cheers

Does the low divorce rate in Asia have a baring on the way the traditional male/female roles plan out ?
Is the lack of family values accountable for this change in attitude?

Nowadays, everything can be learned through YouTube thumbs up grin

Jokes aside, I think boys can, in the absence of a dad, always look up to their uncles, grandfather, male cousins or other male father figure.

A mum can do it all..A dad or male figure doesn't have to be involved.

That's what I call people making excuses for those sons who become criminals ect

Madame - you're wrong.

What you claim - it's like expecting a boy to learn to become a plumber by parking him in a dress making class.

It's never going to happen !

Just a single example - a boy needs to have a male (his father) to safely 'push against' in his teens. If that is lacking then either his mother gets pushed against and she can't handle it, or she packs him off to some half brained therapist to deal with his 'anger issues'

FHS - boys are dealing with hormonal changes to the same degree as girls and 'driving anger out of them' or forcing them to repress that anger (which is part of growing up) is leading to the growing problem of emasculated boys and young men who are lacking in resilience - it's a serious part of the reason why we've seen such an escalation in youth male suicides !

What women have lost in this "strong independent woman" is trust, cooperation and consciousness of the other. The isolated individual in the swarm retreating every further into oneself is a feminine knee-jerk reaction to a world outlandishly male and concrete. The modern world combines the inward-looking and passive attitude of the feminine with the external reality of every man for himself.

What this means is that as women slowly come to trust you they become more feminine. The onus is on you to re-ignite other-consciousness and trust in a woman, pulling her away from the alienated isolate which she refers to as the "strong independent woman"..

I was a single mum to a very successful son..He's well known all over the globe.

He didn't make a name for himself dress making or baking cakes.

IF you had two brain cells and a synapse that fires between them you'd see I did NOT say that of all boys and young men!

Some people (M & F ) rise like eagles and soar well above their circumstances of their upbringing !

As for your son ... I have no idea. It's highly unlikely that you'd say anything negative about him - even if he were a mass murder a mother would defend him !

;-)

Yes , you can learn from relatives, but only the fun stuff . A boy needs a role model on a permanent basis , not only for the fun stuff , but to learn How to act in a relationship & that can only come from a stable family environment .

Bullseye ... it's about consistency and learning by observation over time !

For example 'Seeing Dad handle Mum 'fairly and firmly in a loving masculine way' when she's having / had a tantrum.

Applies equally to girls though - they need to have a 'life model' that illustrates to them that a disagreement is NOT the end of a relationship ...

Merc , with all due respect , we can only take your word for it .
There are also factors to consider.
How old was he , when you split with the father & was he still active in his life when you split, or are you talking all the credit for his success?

MisterForYou: Your stock-in-trade riposte to any post by a male that goes against your personal opinion. 'Mercedes-Grow some Balls'...is basically your slogan. Is this your psychological defence mechanism at the failure of a the man's role model in your past? It sure looks like it.
Which BOTH pulls the topic tightly back on track

Hex-a-guy, I disagree with the 'lost their femininity' thing actually. That's an outmoded idea of what 'femininity' is supposed to look like. As you yourself have explained quite succinctly, role models are so interchangeable today, I'm not surprised a lot of us have lost the plot.
