It hasn't been safe to fly since Ronald Reagan deregulated the airplanes. Now.. just because we are told they are "new", doesn't mean they are. It is a play on words. If it is mostly "new", they can refer to it as such. This also means, that parts can be used that are old and from previous crashes.
well here they grounded the latest planes that the pilots were even properly trained on....so that's a good thing....you would never get me on one of those.....not that I fly anywhere....

Deregulation at its worst. Boeing is another too big to fail mess. Ive heard theres lots not public and Boeing CEO is super corrupt. Regulators earlier were threatened by members of Congress and "ahem", an "executive" in a big white washed house, to lay off!
aries1234: I use planes like other people use buses, but would I fly Boeing, not on your nelly, this is a case of a company putting money before peoples safety.
So Tom - we are now expected to believe you own either a private Cessna Citation, Tiger Moth or perhaps even a Bleriot X1 Replica one seater with ailerons instead of wing warping. Any or all of which would be safer and better maintained than what has been portrayed with Boeing

aries1234: No I just use the trusty airbus no private ?
The Airbus is a passable kite -- For an electric noddy jet !!! But watch Air France - Their Airbus safety record has not been too good since the Concorde fiasco !!!

With all the news regarding the several different dysfunctional Boeing airplanes, are you reluctant to fly?
