What is your reaction to someone you have met briefly online who proposes coming to visit you and actually stay in your place for a week or so?
This can either be a direct question or, very subtle, by saying they have stayed with some woman/man in the past and it is a “done” thing, making you feel as if you should do it as well.
Now, if you refuse, you never hear from them again – for some reason or rather?
Obviously, they were not really interested in meeting you, but just looking for some cheap accommodation – all under the sun!
Are we women always seen as being gullible?

This started to happen more and more online. You meet some nice person, you chat for a while, everything seems great and here he is suggesting that we would come to your country, he needs a place to stay, a free tourist guide, some romantic relationship can, but doesn't have to be an option and when you refuse - they move on. A lot of people like that on dating sites nowadays. Some are direct, but some are not. Some pretend that they are romantically interested in you and that they would come because of YOU, ONLY YOU. If we're over 50 or 60 we attract scammers...players...toyboys..freeloaders etc.for a promise of love.

I have had a couple of people visit me from cs and not once did I think of it as freeloading...I enjoyed the company and we had a blast and I never expected it to be returned......

Besides...inviting a man who's only someone you "met" online is a bit risky for a woman living on her own don't you think?

Oh yes definitely happened to me last one told me after a few days he was moving in then I found out he would be homeless in a few weeks, bye bye. Another came for coffee and told me during the coffee what he would change to the house after he'd moved in bye bye. I've had so many just looking for a place to live . Even friends can we come to visit you we're looking for a cheap holiday, cheap for who.
