I've heard the plastic dolls are gone within weeks, while the silicon lasts much longer.
A few years ago I read a guy had a silicon lovedoll and he was in love with her. But when she was too much damaged and couldn't be repaired he wanted a new one, the same type as the old one. But they weren't be made anymore. But especially for him the factory decided to make a new doll for him like the old one he had.
