Totally agree, Sugar and salt, they put it in everything just to make it more tastefull, but do we need it? Hell no, we'd be better off if they didn't put the stuff in everything.
Usually I have sugar and salt at my home 1 kilo lasts as long as 10 years minimum. Sugar I only use now and then for my pancakes, a pie (make one about once in 3 years time) or if I am baking bread (since 2 years I quit that now I am having breakfast with not sweetened muesli, yoghurt and a little honey), salt also I only use it for pancakes and bread.
Well maybe I eat pancakes 2 times a year.

All the other not natural salts and sugars I get because people put it in stuff unnecessarily. I don't eat chips or salted nuts, popcorn, don't drink no cola, 7-up or whatever, no juice, no jam, no pizza's.
Sometimes a microwave meal, but I prefer to cook myself, my only guilty pleasure is drinking beer. But I don't smoke (for over 20 years now) and don't drink coffee (for over 30 years now).
Still my weight is way to much.
